SOURCE: Is there any way to make my sceptre X240BV-FHD TV, play videos via the USB port?

According to the owner's manual, the USB port only supports USB sticks with FAT16 or FAT32 files systems. It only support viewing of pictures in the baseline JPG format (not progressive), and MP3 audio files that are from 32-48KHz at data rates between 32-320 Kbps. There is no provision for video formats to be viewed or accessed. All USB functions must be done with the remote. The buttons on the set will not respond to the USB.

Here is a link to the manual if you wish to inquire further.
