SOURCE: I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix air temp sensor may be bad

the air sensor yur thinking of is usually found out front of the car on the post that supports the hood latch betwween the radiator assemblies and the oute decorative grill. go to your auto parts store like autozone and ask for the ambient air temp sensor. then if they can, ask for a diagram of its location. Its real easy to replace usually one bolt and one wire clip. Autozone has /offers these do it yourself repar guides that can help you .

SOURCE: HELP! Frigidaire Fridge FRS26HF7BB0 losing coldness and buzzing

That noise is typical when the compresor is trying to start but it doesn't , it could be the condensing fan motor that doesn't work and the compresor goes off on overload ; a common problem with this compresors is the relay (mounted at the side of the compresor behind a black plastic cover) goes bad , this you can replace is about $20 , and if still the compresor won't start you will need to put another one and this is an expensive job.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp ..

SOURCE: jandy aqualin rs air temp malfunction

Check this by swapping your air sensor with your water sensor. (Just swap the plugs) if it still reads off then you may need a new board, if this reads ok then the new sensor may be bad. Good luck.

Hi - We've got a Turbo Air TGF-23F mrechandising freezer that freezes - down to -15 and then suddently begins to warm up about 1 degree per minute. In about 15 minutes its just over 0 degrees and...

Did they test the thermostat? I would think that the compressor would kick on before you got that much of a fluctuation, unless the thermostat is not sensing the change fast enough.

The run and start capactiors and relay, did they give you a reason for that? When the compressor kicks on does it surge the power? Light dim or something? It is hard to guess without being able to put an o'scope on your machine to be able to see what it is doing, but just based on what your write-up was, I can't see the parts you said they want to replace will fix the problem.

I have a Turbo Air TGF-49F freezer and it is not cooling. The compressor unit seems to work but when I turn the unit on all I hear is the compressor running continuously but nothing gets cold.

Difficult for you to check this I'm afraid, if the fan on the cooling unit is working unless you have an experienced 'ear' you will not hear the compressor running or worse still occasionally clicking.
Possible faults are
1. Compressor not running (the fan will run even if the compressor does not) electrical fault
2. Compressor seized (consult your service guy) also true for the rest of these
3. Compressor not pumping
4. Refrigerant leak

Not much hope for a cheap repair

T-23f not freezing

Depends on how technical you want to get. Generally, measure the ambient temp of air entering the condenser coil. Add 30 degrees to that temp and convert to psi using a P/T chart. This will get you to a starting point.Remember, charging a "Hot" box takes time. Don't over charge.

If it's frosted up, it's best to defrost manually with heat gun. Find the timer and advance until it goes back into defrost. The timer looks like a residential fridge. It cut the compressor off and the heaters on.
