Question about Frigidaire GLEQ2152ES Electric Dryer
Just purchased new 15 months ago. Each time we would start the dryer, an error 68 code would show. I called GE and they said button was stuck in, which was not. We tried all buttons - none stuck. It would continue to dry clothes, but continually beep. Even when we turned off, it would turn back on and beep. (very annoying at 2AM.) We unplugged then plugged back in, hoping to reset. Instead, now when you turn on, no error code, but drum not spinning - not working. Help!!!
I had the same problem. Frigidaire recommended swapping out the controller board, however I decided to try a few things first. What ended up working was to remove the controller board and cover it with Di-Electric Grease. When I removed the controller board there were a couple of small rust spots on a few of the solders points, that lead me to believe there was a moisture problem. By spreading the grease on the board it will repel any moisture. I did this a week ago and have had no beeping at all.
Note: Make sure you use a Di-Electric Grease, other types may conduct electricity which will short out your controller card. And don't forget to trip the circuit breaker and unplug the dryer before working on it.
Hope this helps.

Just to verify does it also beep six times? This model has the actual pushbuttons. Press all buttons lightly and see if any release. Disengage button.

Tips for a great answer:
Hey friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
I understand that you are getting an E68 error code on your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, it usually stands for a key (button) that is stuck closed (active). Let's try entering a "Function Test Mode" and perform the Key Test to determine which button could be the problem. To perform "Function Test Mode": Press and hold START and the CANCEL button at the same time for 10 seconds. The key that is stuck should blink. Free the key and perform the test again. If the button is free but the error code still exists, the electronic control will more than likely need to be replaced after it has been properly diagnosed by a professional. If you need help in contacting a technician you can view the manufacturer website to find available technicians in your area. Hope this is helpful. -Matt
