Question about Vintage Keeper Koolspace Wine Cellar

Moaning & groaning noise

I have my Koolspace vintage keeper for about 10 years now, never a problem. I noticed ice formation on the inside where the air grill is . Now it is starting to make a one second moanin & groaning noise every 15 seconds.I have vacuumed all the inlets/outlets (includinding dismounting the back grille with the vent) and have now unplugged it and left the doors open.
Does anyone have any idea what is wrong and how to correct this problem.
Help ! please .

i bought a new unit after my first one failed and the new unit failed to cool after 18 months.

i now have to deside wheather to buy a new cooling unit from them again ?

    i really dont want to................

Your koolspace is loosing refrigerant slowly. the solution is to buy another one, because koolspace people changing their design every year so you as a consumer would not repair the cooler rather buy one new from them. what a sad way to do business. so do yourself an act of kind, do not buy koolspace, buy another brand and modify the hole to fit it in.

Best place to look on the internet. Get the make and model number from the compressor tag and check ebay, which has a multitude of vintage parts.

How to tell the year of a koolspace wine cooler

That will always depend on the Manufacture of your Koolspace Wine Cooler. If Koolspace keeps record's they will ask you for your serial number. It does appear you have an eliete model and brand name so I would think they are well ahead of the game.

My wine cooler is not reaching the set temperature. It stops at around 73 and the display flashed AL. Any ideas?

check to see if compressor cycles, if so you may have a thermistor problem which is intergrated with control, replace if you can find part. make sure to check evaporator, see if ice is forming if so you have a leak,or dry evap. you have a leak. repar.
hope this helps.

I have a Koolspace AA6 Tuscany free standing unit. Sn 05314-11. Power went out cooling unit will not restart. I get the thermostat to read and fan to turn for a while then goes into high temp alarm mode.

It seems like this cooling unit (AA6, also Grand Cru 800) just doesn't last as per numerous postings that I found when I was trying to find a replacement unit. Best advise seems to be get a higher output unit that will fit application.

My Vintagekeeper Tuscany 220 wine fridge is making lots of unnecessary noise.

Hello, this is a common problem when parts start to wear in the motor. They rattle and clang allover the place, depending on age of fridge you can get the motor replaced and regassed. Or depending on age it may be time to replace the fridge. I hope this is of some use.

Koolspace 600 Problem

You'll need to replace the fan. The original fan bearings wear our after a couple of years. It's pretty simple to drill out the rivets and replace the fan. I suggest you replace all four with ball-bearing fan units.

Koolspace wine cooler

I have the Vintage Keeper Odyssey. I had the same thing the other day. Unit is 7 years old. Vintage Keeper web-site suggested to unscrew the control box and remove. (The box with the "Set" and Up and Down arrows. Unplug the wiring and sensor on the back and then plug back in. Plug in the unit and text. It took my "AL" away.

Unit doesn't cool very well. A coolant leak may be my problem. I was looking for solutions other than buying a new refrigeration unit.
