Question about Intermatic & Indoor/Outdoor Rain Tight Timer

Describe your Intermatic & Indoor/Outdoor Rain Tight Timer Problem I have the model T104 I think, stamped E10694 on it. I can set the start/stop but it does not come on, I have to manual turn on/off with the switch. I can tell if it's just worn out or can I pull the yellow piece up to see if that does anything?

Check to see if the moter is running. there is a window just above the timing wheel. If the geer is not moving the timer is not working. Now if it is and keeping the proper time. the small on off adjustable things may be the wrong model tripper. They look alike but not. there is a set with a silver and green on tripper. the Green one is for model T100 the silver is for the rest

Is the dial turning, or is it in the set mode, were its not engaged. if it does turn are the trippers tripping the levers. if everything is working make sure the trippers are not bent, this will keep it from engaging anything.

T104 intermatic stationary pointer moved to the side

T104 pointer is stationary and is supposed to be pointed straight down, assuming timer is installed in vertical position.
Move pointer until it points straight down and apply bit of super glue, or just remember correct location.

I have Intermatic timer WG 1573 208/277V 60Hz 3W stamped on the case. I would like to chage this unit to a 110V timer system if possible. (In other words just be able to switch clock motors) If this is...

WG1573 is a 240 Volt clock motor for T100 series timers.
This means you have T-104 timer.
Image shown on link above is T104R outdoor timer.
T104 indoor timer is the same except door does not have rubber gasket.
Terminals are labeled A 1 2 3 4
If this is not your timer, then add a comment.

Following instructions will convert T104 240V timer to T103 120V timer

Clock motor can be replace with identical 120V clock motor from Grainger

Timer mechanism snaps out and clock motor is located on back.
Remove clock motor with star screwdriver tip

Connect new clock motor wires to DIFFERENT terminals than before.
Old clock was connected to terminals 1 and 3
New 120V clock motor is connected to terminals A and 1

Wiring for 120V T103 is shown on link below.
White neutral wire must connect to terminal A
Black hot wire must connect to terminal 1

Timer does not activate setting wheel. Stays on or off all the time.

1) If wheel is not turning, then replace motor
There are numbers printed on clock motor. Also look inside door to see model number of timer. If you have a T101 or T103, T104 the T100 motor will work.

2) If manual override is not working, then replace whole timer.

3) You can buy same timer, and then swap insides
without replacing box. For example if you have T101R, the R stands for rain-tight box. Buy T101 and swap insides. Keep in mind T103 and T104 and T101 are not interchangeable due to wiring differences.
