Question about Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook

I just put a replacement battery on my Inspiron 710M. On startup I get a message that says, "The battery cannot be identified. This system will be unable to charge batteries until this battery is removed." The battery does operate the computer but is not being charged. What do I do?

This battery is not compatible with this laptop. Dell batterys have a sensor that tells to laptop is it dell battery or not. Unfortunately you have to replace battery with correct one.

My laptop wont turn on without a charger

If your laptop works fine while plugged in but stops working while unplugged it's likely that either your laptop battery is bad or your laptop is not charging the battery properly.

Below are steps that can be taken to help identify the cause of this issue. Leave power plugged in
Make sure the computer has been charging from the power plug for at least two hours before attempting to unplug it.
Remove and reconnect battery
In some situations the battery can become loose.
Removing it and then put it back into the laptop. Third-party utility
Use a third-party battery utility to determine the total capacity of the battery. For example, BatteryCare is a free software utility capable of doing this.
Replace battery or AC adapter If your computer is still in warranty we suggest skipping to the next step.
If the above steps have been completed, we suggest replacing the battery in the computer or AC adapter. In most situations it's a bad battery.
Hope this helps.

Model Studio 1537. On startup i get message system can not identify battery. i am getting blinking amber and white light for on power LED indication. battery is not getting charged

Hello

Your battery may be showing its age.The terminals when it plugs into laptop may be dirty, try cleaning the battery terminals.

Try turning off. Removing battery for awhile. See if it runs okay on just charger installed and no battery.
Then reinstall battery after orderly shut down.

See if it still happens . If so it means that the battery you have is no longer good.. You need a new one.

How to bypass a dell inspiron 710m password i for got my password and set a master pass word but wont sign me in

Each Dell has a master password which will clear the BIOS password. You can get this number by calling Dell Technical Support at (800)624-9896.

Dell Technical Support will request the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the bottom of your unit.

Let me know if this helps!

Dell Inspiron 710m doesn't turn on anymore

check if there is a light on the adapter or not. if there is a light on the adapter. it means the adapter is fine. even then if the computer is not turning on. the motherboard circuit is short, if you are comfortable you can fix it else replace the motherboard.

When turning on my Dell710M, I just get a black screen

Start with the basics, take out all the removable items (Battery, Modem, RAM, Drives, Wireless card) see if anything changes powering the system on via AC. If no change, then the motherboard is the most likely failure point. On my system, I had a broken AC plug (Adapter connector wobbled in the plug) and eventually the battery wouldn't change and system would not run on AC. I had to replace the motherboard to resolve.

Inspiron 6000 black screen

I think your talking about your screen fading out.
This is normal. LCD screens do slowly fade out over time. They have a life span.....If this is indeed the problem, then you have 2 choices.

1) Get the screen replaced.
2) Get a new laptop.

My advice would be getting a new laptop as the prices are getting lower every day. Most likely this is the cheaper option.
