Be sure the pitch selection is correct. If it is set to PS when using a 10,12 or 15 pitch wheel it will select incorrect letters.

SOURCE: The keys will not type the letters they are labeled with.

Do you have the daisy wheel cartridge inserted correctly? The "ear" on the daisy wheel cartridge should always be on the upper right.

If that doesn't fix it .....Try doing a daisy wheel reset by Pressing [CODE] + [RESET]. This will properly index the daisy wheel.

SOURCE: Some keys stop working on keyboard

The particular keyboardpart must have gone. I had his problem with my Dell some years back. I removed the entire laptop, removed and reinstalled teh keyboard wire to the motherboard..and the problem did not arise. Happens whenever over heating occurs.

What is the wheel on the underside of my Praxis Olivetti 48?

Looking at the manual the only wheel listed is the one they place out of the way so you don't accidentally move it. It adjusts how hard the machine pressed in each letter/number.

What keys do I use the change the left and right margins?

You set the margins by putting the printhead where you want the margin set, and holding down the CODE key, push the key under where L MAR or R MAR is printed, (above the top keys on the keyboard) depending on whether you want to set the right or left margin.
If you want to set the left margin to the left of where it's set, hold down the CODE key and push the key under MAR REL. Then using the Backspace (or spacebar, if you backspace too far) position the printhead where you want the mar. set and holding down the CODE key, hit the key under L MAR.
Setting the right margin works the same way.
