We are having difficulty with all four of the burners lighting. It seems like it takes longer everyday for one of them to catch. The sparking mechanisms are clicking. Is it a maintenance issue? Maybe there's something that we can clean? Or is it a gas issue? Although, no other gas appliance appear to have problems.
Thanks.
I have an older Model Tappan range-pilot lights- no electrics...20 inch...4 burner with oven.... that has been not been hooked up for a month or so...was working fine....I have gas as far as the regulator....it is set-up for propane... I am using a 20 # bottle....and I can not get any pilots or burners to light!!! where could be the blockage??? thanks
Turn the power off to the oven.Gain access to the burners on the oven,at the end of the burner there are orfices.Slide the burners out and remove the orfices (they will have a hole in them) or get a paper clip and clean the holes out. Also where the ignitor sparks at on the burner, look at the burner holes and make sure there clean, let me know how you make out.
