Hi, fan may have stuck, but you could have a defrost problem, check defrost heater, thermodisc(defrost thermostat) and defrost timer. or excessive moisture, if your days are hot, or if you put hot foods in ref. could result in excessive ice build up. you can manually defrost it, by unpluging ref. for couple of hrs, until all ice melted. then restart. you make get excessive water on floor. be prepared.

Hotpoint model #ctxy14epjrwh slow water drip from inside of the refrigerator. inside the top of the frig, center, there are several components that appear to come down from the freezer. the lowest one...

That water is from the melting frost of the automatic defrost cycle. Their is drain in the freezer behind the back wall under the evaperator coil that is blocked, so instead of defrost water draining it's pooling in the freezer or in some case espically on models with the freezer on the top,the water is leaking from the freezer vents into the fresh food compartment.
The way to clear the drain is remove back plate and remove all ice build up and GENTLY make a small hole in drain through then totally flush w/warm water.
The exact location of drain is under the coil behind back freezer plate in the centeroldtech2332_52.jpg

My G E refrigerator is not cooling. I is 60 degrees inside. The freezer part is working fine as far as freezing but the motor is running all the time and there is no cool air running into the refrigerator...

sounds like a defrost problem. remove back freezer panel and look for ice on coils which restricts air to the Ref.
Take your mod number to an appliance parts store and they will sell the parts to fix the defrost system. Most all parts are in behind freezer Panel at the coils.

Whirlpool Mod ET18LKXHWo o Fridge not freezing,

Your defrost timer located inside the control panel is bad OR the defrost thermostat located on a freezer coil is bad.
Get down low and look up at the bottom of the control panel.
You will see a small round hole. Onside the hole is the defrost timer advance knob.
Use a flat blade screwdriver and SLOWLY turh the slotted knod clockwise until the refrigerator clicks off.
Wait a few minutes then open the freezer door and listen for a sizzling sound from the freezer compartment.
If you do hear a sizzling sound that would be the defrost heater melting ice.
If you do not hear a sizzling sound, unplug the refrigerator and remove the rear freezer panel to expose the cooling coil.
Clipped to the coil will be the defrost thermostat. It will need replacing.
If you do hear the sizzling sound the defrost timer will need replacing.

Refrigerator side not cooling, but feezer is still freezing

DEFROST HEATERS IN THE FREEZER. IF THERE IS FROST ON THE BACK WALL INSIDE THE LOWER AREA OF THE FREEZER SECTION. YOU THEN HAVE A DEFROST PROBLEM. THE HEATER IS THE MOST COMMON. REMOVE THAT PANEL AND DEFROST WITH HAIR DRYER. THIS FROST IS BLOCKING THE AIR FLOW TO THE REF. SIDE. AFTER THIS IT WILL WORK FOR 10-21 DAYS WITH OUT REPLACING THE DEFROST HEATER. 95 PERCENT CHANCE. JUST REPLACE THE HEATER SOON AFTER DEFROSTING SO YOU DONOT HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN.

MY FREEZE DOES NOT FREEZ BUT IS COOLD DOES IT NEEDS GAS

When the compressor is running, two fans should be running. One inside the freezer compartment that moves air over the evaporator coils. The other is under/behind the fridge that cools the condenser coils.

If the fan on the condenser coil (the one under/behind the fridge) stops working, the system cannot dissipate the heat from those coils, and thus cannot sufficiently cool the inside of either the freezer nor fresh food compartment.

On mine, when the condenser fan failed, I noticed right away. The front face of the wall separating the compartments became very hot. Extremely hot.

Apparently the refrigeration system is designed so that waste heat keeps condensation from forming where the magnetic gaskets on the door need to seal. When the condenser fan failed, there was too much waste heat (because no heat was being dissipated from the condenser coils by the fan), thus making that gasket-sealing area very hot.

If it is your condenser coil fan, you can relieve the problem temporarily by removing the bottom back panel from the fridge and aiming a box fan (a regular room or window fan) at the condenser coils. This will circulate air over the coils, thus removing heat from the coils.

Fridge and freezer not cooling. Motor running but never shutting off.

Take the back panel off of the freezer compartment and look at the coils. If they are covered in ice unplug the fridge and let it defrost overnight. Plug it back in and let it run for a coulple days with out putting the back panel back on. If they coils start to freeze up again it is a defrost circuit problem. I fixed mine for 17 bucks. Let me know how it goes!

Hotpoint Ice diamond fridge freezer both green & red lights on.?

bulmer...it takes about two days to fully defrost these units unless you take the freezer section cover off and use a heat source. If you do...be sure to protect yourself against water and electricity mixing....not healthy. See below for another note.

clean the condenser coils below the unit.

check for the amount of gas in the unit. It must be off for half an hour. Remove the back fiber panel. The big thing is the compressor. Clean off the largest pipe coming out of it. Plug the unit in...watch out for the fan! The pipe should frost up and then clear off or stay wet after about 5 minutes. It should not be frosty. If it is, you need refrigerant.

Note: If you do remove the inside freezer panel and defrost, you can see how much refrigerant you have in your unit. Start the unit. Wait 5 minutes and observe the coils. They should be evenly frosted end to end. If approximately so, you're good. If not, you're low on gas.
