Question about HP PSC 750 All-In-One InkJet Printer

2 Answers

My HP PSC 750 all-in-one Inkjet Printer won't scan. The window on the printer/scanner/copie says, "please select destination using "scan to"." I don't remember doing this before. I don't scan often, but I usually simply hit "scan" on the printer or go through the scan commands via the computer. Please advise

I just tried a posted solution, which worked immediately. The glass simply needed to be cleaned. I probably should have used some special cloth, but a clean bandana was handy and did the trick!

Caroljust,
The 'scan to' is a message that the scanner is saying ' I do not know where to scan this document to, that is, what program. I suggest you turn it off and turn it on again and it may reset to the default setting, otherwise you have to go into some softwear that came with that psc 750 and work with the softwear and ask it to scan from taht hp softwear from the computer. Try installing the HP Scanner software. This can be found on the HP website or may be included on your installation CD

My HP PSC printer will not scan on my pc with,

Probably a driver problem. The solution for Windows XP or earlier versions of Windows is to go to the HP website and download the driver for the printer. For Windows Vista there is no driver that enables scanning. The workaround is to open Paint, select:
All Programs-->Accessories-->Paint
To import the scanned image, select:
File-->From Scanner or Printer
In the Select Device window, select your printer and click OK. In the Scan Using HP..... window, select a color option and click Scan. Wait for the image to be scanned into Paint. Then you can manipulate the image using Paint or save it.

My hp psc 750 all-in -one printer scanner not working

A friend of mine had a HP printer (Not a PSC 750) that he had simply plugged into his computer and was able to print properly but received the "options not set" message when he tried to scan.

The solution was to install the HP driver package for his printer.

If you are using the default Windows drivers for your printer you may need to install the HP driver package to access all of your printers functions.

Hp psc 1100/1200 all-in-one does not scan with vista..

I had the same problem. Click Start, Windows Photo Gallery, from that screen, you can select import from scanner. The 1200 series printer should be a choice to select. You are then able to preview the image or document, then press scan. I found this out through the HP support website.

How to get my scanner to scan only the photograph

When you scan the picture, make sure you do a preview of the scanning surface in the scanner software first, then select the region corresponding to the picture only, after that, select "scan" in the scanner software.
