Clean the seal and coat with petroleum jelly before replacing the cover. The PJ will help seat the seal as you tighten it.

How to load grease in it?

The model 1056S will accept the standard grease cartridge available at any parts store. I have to use a razor blade and cut off the metal pull tab end. Then push the cartridge into the cylinder from the top. The real trick is to guide the rubber seal into the cartridge; it can be done, I load mine this way. Use the little lock to hold off the long plunger, allow just enough to work with inorder to insert rubber seal into cartridge. Only after the rubber is in the cartridge, then screw on the bottom cap. Then release the long plunger rod. You noticed that the plunger rod will rotate out of the rubber seal assembly, rotate it so the rod can be pushed into the cylinder without pushing the rubber seals. The sping will push the rubber seal to ensure grease is mover to the top. Very powerful PSI, do not blow out the rubber cups around the zerk fittings. Good luck

Water squirts out of where you tighten top to filer holder

If I understand you correctly, water is leaking out of where the two halves connect? I will assume, this filter has some age to it and the housing may show signs of warpage. A quick fix is to use grease to help the o-ring to seal. Liberally apply grease all the way around the o-ring and then try sealing the housing.

My intex sand filter collar ring will not lock down

1st make sure filter basket is all the way down ,It only will fit all the way down 1 Way , this is a common problem with these, 2nd on new housings allways use a touch of foodgrade/ water proof grease on O-ring seal , this will make the seal pop right into its groove and seal up tight !! this grease is easy to find in your local hardware supply store look for Kitchen faucet grease , only use this type of grease Not petrolem jelly as this will chemically dammage the housing and ring

My robokleen won't **** anything up, impeller not plugged or stuck, just not turning, moves just fine

i thought the problem was the grease also until i seen another sales web page decription, it said NO OIL TO LEAK OUT, so i opened it up again after it shut off every day for 10 minutes of use , but still rolled
i seen the circuit board inside the air tight pump, somehow some water must have mixed with the greased part and i dried it with a cloth put it back together and it ran for about 20 minutes, then stopped, i tightend the screws as much as i could without harming the thread holes, if you break them your out of luck, did not see any seal but im sure the factory put something to keep it water proof

Oil leak 2000 alero, just replaced plug, not it, leaked out all the oil after I drove it 20 miles, please help, could it be a gasket or what

Check the oil filter. The old gasket might be stuck on the engine (two gaskets stuck together), or the new gasket might be defective, misaligned or missing.

2005 BMW 320D E90 MANUAL TRANSMISSION Hi a noise on my clutch when pushing it down and releasing it just after the free play travel the clutch seems to be 100% still pulls well not slipping or shuddering...

most likely its the thrust bearing noisy but it could also be the layshaft bearings in the gearbox as well ,check the gearbox oil level and check its ok if ok then its a thrust bearing ,these modern motors with a nylon bearing holder are not very good to say the least ,now if oil level is low in gearbox then before you top level up use a grease gun and remove the nipple thing on the end and then pump a good grease gun full of LM grease into gearbox and then top up with EP90 as this will help seal any leaks and stop a lot of the noise ,you cannot hurt anything by putting the grease in the gearbox i do it lot to stop a leaky gearbox from leaking as the grease gets hot and sinks to the bottom and solidifies stopping a lot of the leaks from gear linkages and around the drive shafts although this is a rear wheel drive vehicle so that is less of a problem

Leaking from pump, is it usually the o-ring or something else?

Replacing the entire pump for a broken / leaky seal is a bit overkill - kinda like being advised to replace an engine when its your oil filter seal leaking. sells a Polaris "Go Kit" consisting of the three primary o-rings/seals that need periodic replacement as they dry-out and crack, promoting leaks, during non-operating months. Its called the Go-Kit 71 (for about $15.00) plus shipping. Replacement is fairly straight-forward if you know how to disassemble the pump - not rocket science but definately engineering.

Leaky dishwasher Kenmore elite

One thing that sometime happens is that a crust of dried-on grease forms on the metal surface that the rubber seals seal against.

This is fine up to a point - the seals just continue to work against the grease. The trouble comes when bits of this layer start to break away and water leaks through the gaps.

Use a plastic spatula to scrape all the gunge off. After you've done that, it may take a couple of cycles for the machine to stop leaking (the seals sometimes need time to relax back to their original shape)
