SOURCE: Ademco Alarm System - Zone works opposite? Triggers on (door closed)/ Stay Off (door opened)?

i dont think it polarity not unless alarms in the usa are different from nz aus uk sounds like you have a faulty something. try open and closing the front door and look at the keypad to see if the zone activates as it should. there can only realy be 3 things. device, cable or panel fault. you can easly test the system by swaping the zones in the panel ie zone 1 to 2 and 2 to 1 providing that they have similar zone charectorists ie "entry exit" if the fault moves to the other zone you know its a device fault.(inspecting the cable for damage is probably the easy thing to do) if its a reed switch you could look at the position of the magnet it may be making borderline contact and a slight movement of the door could be tripping the zone. if the fault doesnt move its a panel fault. before you jump in though make sure that if you dont comprimise your protection or insurance by trying DIY security. good luck (if you have no joy post more details)

Why my key will not unlock my door manually on my 2007 ford edge.why the anti theft mode is on the dash.

The manual unlock is operated by a set of small levers in the door. Either the connecting rod between the key mech and the door lock has become loose or the mechanism inside the lock itself is faulty.
Modern cars don't like being unlocked manually, you might have tripped the security system by trying to unlock the door, which could be why the anti-theft mode is giving you a warning. It's usually more of a warning that someone has tampered with the door locks and couldn't gain entry or something like that. If your car came with a manual for the security system, read up on it.

What does 3 flashes pause than 3 flashes over and over on a Viper 3105V one way alarm system mean?

The three-flash, wait, three-flash sequence indicates that either the nuisance prevention circuitry or another fault has been registered by Zone 3 or the door sensor. Nuisance prevention circuity is automatically activated when there are several faulty activation codes sent to a sensor. In turn, the door sensor is bypassed by the alarm which keeps the system quiet. This only happens when a specific threshold is reached in specific activation codes that are sent from the door sensor to the alarm cpu.

It would seem inadvisable to disable the door sensor when it is receiving faults. It might indicate someone is trying to boost your car. However, it is not as inadvisable as you might think.

The faults that activate the nuisance circuity tend to be lower-level faults and not the major ones that might trip the door sensor such as someone trying to slip the door lock or someone who might smash a window. In those instances, even though the nuisance circuity was tripped, the alarm will still work and sound, if it receives major faults such as the attempted to slip the door lock or the windows is broken.

The nuisance circuitry is meant to prevent the alarm from activating for multiple impacts to the door such as those that might be called during a high wind or if pieces of wood were blown against the car during a high wind.

Dsc pc 1555

Is this a Laptop problem or a home security question? If home security, is the door a wired or wireless zone? A Chime on the door, is that on the control panel or a local chime at the door?
Are you absolutely sure zone 5 is that door? Is your bypass zone activated? You should be able to hold arm to arm it anyway.

Have ADT 3000 series alarm system - would like to set it to max

adt sw3000 panel does not support max button on key pad. best solution would be to have ADT tech reprogram Zones so windows are perimeter zones(instant when armed away or stay) and motions interior follower (instant when no perimeter zone was triggered first). doors stay exit/entry.

We lost our user manual for our Hape Quadrilla marble Twist set. Is there one available on line?

Our family lost our manual too!! --and I'm not exactly a "create it yourself" kind of a gal!!! After searching HAPE (the manufacturer of the Quadrilla line) I finally threw in the towel and called the "800" number! The good news is that the manuals for the marble run sets ARE IN FACT ON THE WEBSITE!! The bad news is that you wouldn't intuitively find them on your own!! SO HERE IS WHERE THEIR HIDDEN...

1. Go to the HAPE Website Home Page (Make sure you are on the "North American Region"

2. Click on the RESOURCES TAB

3. Select "On line Library" from the drop down menu

4. Under the "Web Ready images" section select "Quadrilla"

5. Then select "Instruction Folder"

6. You should see pdf files for all four rail sets ready for download!!!

200 Jeep Laredo..Air is cold and fan is blowing,

there is a blend door actuator for the laredo and if is bad the air wont come out here is a pic of what it looks like and how to get to it

The single zone heater-A/C system is equipped with a single blend door actuator. The dual zone system has two blend door actuators, one for the driver side blend-air door and one for the passenger side blend-air door.
7d2da02.gif
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel.
  3. Remove the three screws that secure the blend door actuator to the passenger side of the HVAC air distribution housing .
  4. Remove the blend door actuator from the air distribution housing and disconnect the HVAC wire harness connector from the actuator.
  5. Remove the blend door actuator from the vehicle
to instal
  1. Position the blend door actuator into the vehicle.
  2. Install the blend door actuator onto the passenger side of the HVAC air distribution housing . If necessary, rotate the actuator slightly to align the splines on the actuator output shaft with those on the blend door cam .
  3. Install the screws that secure the blend door actuator to the passenger side of the air distribution housing . Tighten the screws to 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
  4. Connect the HVAC wire harness connector to the blend door actuator.
  5. Install the glove box into the instrument panel.
  6. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

My DSC security system is reading "open" and the trouble buttom is lit up.. I do not have the alarm set up, however, it chimes every time you open the door. It was chiming every 5 seconds, what does this...

First of all go to your security box.Now you will have to find where all the sensors conect to the panell. These area's on the board are called zones such as zone 1 zone 2 and so forth.Chech and make sure no wires have came loose from the screw termanils also make sure their is no corrision (good contacts are key).If this doesent work you will need a magnet find out which zone you are having trouble with such as front door back door window ect.Now their are two different sensers one is a flush mounted senser this will look like a little box on the frame of what ever it is securing. The other one will be a inset one this will be harder to find.It will be inside the frame of what ever it is securing. In any case you wil need to run the magnet over this device and see if the panel will reset. If this hapens then you know that their is something wrong with the orig. magnet.(When you shut the door or window the orig. magnet will align with the senser). Some times the distance between the senser and the magnet will effect the senser. If the senser is a flush mounted senser then their will be some wires you can acess to see if they are making contact.

((((( I DO NOT RECOMENT THIS ONE. IF YOU TRY THIS ONE YOU WILL NOT BE PROTECTING THIS ZONE AND SOMEONE CAN NOW BREAK IN )))))The next thing to try is to simply look on the panel door and read where it says which resistor it needs and where it goes on the panel in relationship to the correct zone buy the resistor and install it in the panel.

((((( I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS ONE. IF YOU TRY THIS ONE YOU WILL NOT BE PROTECTING THIS ZONE AND SOMEONE CAN NOW BREAK IN)))))The next thing to try is the zone bypass. The instructions on how to do this should be on the back of the key pad door.

The next thing to try is to look in the senser to see if it has a battery. Some sensers have a battery and they need to be replaced from time to time. Now I have been asuming that this is a senser on a door or a window but their are other sensors that are optional on this panel as well.Check all wires on these batterys and make sure all outer housings are securly on the sensors.

If none of this works then you probably either have something wrong with the wireing or the panel its self is faulty. If so contact a security technician.

GE simon security system

Depends. Do you mean the chime? If all that is missing is the chime whenever a zone is tripped then simply press the CHIME button on the front panel. If it is lighted solid red then your chime is on and it will talk to you. If chime is off then it wont talk to you at all when a zone is tripped. Good luck.
