Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the sites linked here. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary. /

SOURCE: TV SHUT OFF WHILE WATCHING. UNPLUG AND THEN PLUGED BACK IN. RED LIGHT CAME ON IN FRONT FOR A SECOND AND WENT BACK OFF. TV WILL NOT COME ON.

power in the tv has nothing related with the DVD. The tv has to have raster (white screen) even without signal (cable, DVD, others) if the tv alone is just having the led flashing and neither sound nor video (black screen) The tv has a short circuit in some of the boards that are part of the tv system. the blinking is part of a protection when the tv was created in the factory. Refer to the technician to repair this problem.

with no picture and no audio i would more than likely suspect the main AV Board needs replacing.
Take the back of your tv and get the part number of the AV board ( THE ONE WITH THE INPUTS AND SCART SOCKETS) then Google or Ebay for a replacement.
95% thisd will cure your problem.
Hope this helps

No Internet Connectivity which would make it one.
Versatile Connectivity With the multiple input/output ports, you have abundant options for connecting Blu-ray/ DVD Player, Video game console, Cable, and Satellite box, and Soundbar.

No, because it isn't a smart television, just a nice one. Also it doesn't connect to the Internet.

Vizio 32/DirecTV - slow to change channels

Some TVs switch faster than others, plain and simple. I went from a Sony LED to a Sanyo LCD TV and there's a world of difference between the two in terms of how quickly each powers on and how fast one channel goes to the next after inputting the channel number on the respective remotes. The Sony is lightening fast compared to the Sanyo. I have a Phillips LCD in a bedroom that takes a long time as well, like the Sanyo. Personally I think you get speed with either the LED (over the LCD) and/or it's related to the quality and associated price you've paid.

I purchased a 46 inch sanyo lcd tv in January and today when Iw went to turn it on it flashes on and off quickly and continuously.

I hope it is still under warranty!
Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.
