Do not go to Utilitech.com; it's a different company. It's actually at place called TheNCC and is in tiny, tiny print at the bottom of the instructions.
Instead, go to:
http://thencc.com/ncc/support_results.asp?criteria=192773&Submit=Go&SearchRun=RunGo
You should find a PDF for the product and then zoom in to be able to read the instructions. I was not able to read instructions that came in packaging.

Go through the normal setup. Year, month, day, time, DST and the location (north, center, south).
Hit program and make sure all events are clear. Program the first (ON) event, press the TIME button and press /- (with the hour segment blinking) until you see the Sun/Moon symbol indicating the sunset time. Press PROG and program the (OFF) event. Press the /- buttons until you see the Sun/Moon symbol indicating the sunrise time.
Hitting resume clears events if you accidentally entered them.
Make sure you display shows AUTO and you're good to go.
