SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Do we leave the racks in the oven while cleaning it ?

Hi.

I assume you are referring to the "self-clean" function of your oven, in which case, the answer is no. All racks and the broiling pan, etc should be removed from the oven before initiating self-clean mode.

I can't give any specific instructions for the self-clean mode on your oven as you have not specified a brand or model number. If you need any further assistance, please post back with these details.

Please note: The high temperatures generated during "self-clean" have been known to cause the door locking mechanisms on many ovens to become stuck in the closed position. This often requires a service call to rectify the problem. If you are planning to use the self-clean before cooking your Christmas meal tomorrow, please bear this in mind. There is little chance of getting a service call between now and then.

Hope this helps.

Happy holidays!
BElectric.

Our xerox workcentre 4150 is stuck in a self test mode. We have turned off the machine and unplugged it several times, and it keeps going back to the message Please wait....Machine self test in progress....

You will either have to take off the back cover and remove the memory battery. One of those round lithium batteries and reinstall it or go to xerox.com, download the newest level of firmware and load it to the machine.
You may also want to try turning the machine off. unplugging the hard drive and see if it works like that.If it works without the hard drive replace it. If all those steps do not work replace the main board.

My machine goes into self checking mode and gets stuck.

If it's going into self-checking then either there is a problem with the drawer deck mechanism not being able to communicate with the logic board, hence the reason it stays in the self check. Contact your local Panasonis dealer to arrange a service engineer to perform a software update on the recorder as your current software could either be an older version or has been corrupted & needs to be updated.

Starts a self check then power goes off

Not sure if this will help. My machine was stuck with a "Please Wait" message. Searched internet, many folks with problem. The fixes all pointed to 2 capacitors being blown. My brother was able to easily solder 2 new ones in and the machine worked perfectly. If you Google the name and model with Please Wait after it, you will see some of the conversations and remedies. Your machine may be heading toward this problem.

Also, beware of storing too much on your hard drive! My machine was working great after the above repair, but I believe I had too much stored on mine and I got a U99 Error Code. Service Center said it can not be repaired and THEY DO NOT MAKE THESE ANYMORE. There are DV machines with a hard drive so you can watch shows, but not to record show/movies. I make DVDs of my son's high school games. Can edit and transfer many games at once with this machine... not with any others!

Do not let this one die on you. It is priceless.

Stuck in self check mode

Manually pull down the front shield, then somewhat forcefully pull down the inner shield and maybe two little white pins so the tray is exposed with nothing blocking it. Have someone plug the machine in while you are holding everything out of the way and the tray should start to open. Pull your fingers out quickly so you don't block the tray from sliding out.

Amana oven not working and boiler also

Check the oven sensor it may be the problem. Also check the lock assembly. When in self clean does your bake come on too? It should come on with the broiler.

You can try a factory reset (reboot). Here are the steps..

The following will set your recorder to the Factory defaults.
(Will not format HD on DMRE80).

With power off (stand-by mode/CLOCK DISPLAY SHOWING):

1)Press and hold [skip reverse] [Time Slip] [Eject] buttons for about 10 sec
2)Display will show 'L1 TEST'
3)Now power off DURING TEST
4)Clock should be fashing 12:00
5)Turn power on and language menu will be displayed on TV

Use for
DMRE50
DMRE55
DMRE85
For the DMRE75V press both [dub] buttons and [eject].

Hope this helps.
