I need to get the drain on my friedrich quietmaster model km24l30 unplugged. what is the best way to go about this?

Hi,
If you have a slide out chassis then slide the unit out and the drain will be in the back corner of the pan...you can then easily see it and get it open...
If it does not slide out then look in the back corners for a hole and use a wire to get the hole open...DO NOT run a drill up in there, you will drill a hole in the coil!!! I have fix a few of those..:-)

Where is the drain hole on my frederich quietmaster wall air conditioner?

Hello, if there is no drain hole under the unit then it uses the fan blade to sling water on the condenser to evaporate the condensate. Some window units are made this way instaed of using a drain hole.

How to remove front cover for cleaning

I don't know too much about your particular make / model but most window units have a 1 piece front cover which is usually held on to the main cabinet with 1 or 2 screws at the sides and 1 or 2 behind the filter panel. You will need to remove the front panel to remove the vents as they are usually fitted from behind the panel.

Johnson supply out of Texas has an account with Freidrich. They are an A/C supply house. I believe they are based out of Houston. I would give them a call and see if you can get one through them.
