If you open the CD contents in a folder and run the Setup in XP compatibility mode, and the software should work. <div><br /></div> <div>Good luck from there! I still can't get my PC to recognize the music center.</div>

New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I am having trouble finding a module for my Philips wAC700 and for someone to repair this. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get another system instead.

Contact Philips they should be able to help find a service center to repair the unit. Or tell you where to find a replacement.

Phillips wac700 says booting up has not been used for a while

Hello
Just unplug the device from AC mains socket and replug it after 3 minutes and see whether it helps you. If not, a firware upgrade will be necessary. The supplied PC installer CD contains Media Manager [DMM] software. it will help you to upgrade for WAC700 center. For details see DMMs' help file. Refer to the manual CONNECT YOUR PC to learn how to install the software. OK.

How do you connect an ipod or mp3 to the waC700 wireless music centre?

Anything that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input. Get a cable like the one described here:

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2

and connect it into any available analog input EXCEPT "Phono". Turn the MP3 player volume up.

Streamiun Wac700 CENTER says can't connect to center...help!

put units side by side and switch them both off. Plug in main unit, and using menu resort factory settings, then when it reboots, select language, and leave it there. Then connect the smaller unit and do the same thing (restore settings), they should then find each other.

Saving music on hard drive

After the MP3 songs are transferred from the PC to the Music Center via DMM, do not disconnect the power cord. The Center is updating its internal database to mark the changes of music library. Wait for around 20 minutes to let the Center update the database completely. When the internal updating is complete, you will be allowed to turn the Center into ECO Standby mode.

WAC700 Wireless music center

This can be caused by either corrupt firmware, or bad connection between the front panel and main unit.

The firmware can be restored as follows:

Unpluck the unit from the mains.

Press and hold [STOP] & [SOURCE]

Plug unit into mains.

Continue to hold the two buttons until the recovery message appears on screen.

If the progress bar doesn't move at all within 5 minutes, then this is not the problem.

This problem can also be caused by the ribbon cable connection between the front panel and the main unit. Sometimes the problem can be cured by disconnecting both ends of the cable.

The firmware should still be ok in this case.

There are multiple processors in the WACS700 unit, and the problem occurs when they can't talk to each other.

An authorised service agent should be able to sort the problem with a replacement cable.
