Camera memory? to memory card

How can I get photos from camera on to memory card with a DCZ 3 5? I forgot to put the card in first and the lead doesn't work. Also I have lost the manual and can't seem to find one on the web. Hopeless, aren't I? Any of you Wizes or Gurus able to help, I'd be so grateful.
I have no idea how this site works but it seems worth a try...

PS My camera is 3.0 megapixels but the number on the box says 3.5 and only 3.25 seems to be listed

Re: Camera memory? to memory card

I was also unable to find a source for the manual but for Snapper Sal:

If you can establish communication with your computer, it will handle the internal camera memory as a disk drive from which you can copy your stored photos to duplicate (or move) them to a folder on your local hard drive.
Once there, you can insert your new memory card either into the camera or a memory card drive and again copy them from your computer hard drive onto the new card.

Dunno why you are doing this but it shouldn't be too difficult if you just treat the internal and add-on memory card as simply another drive.

..i dont know how to use camera

If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

What cable do I need to download pictures from my DCZ 7.4 camera to my PC?

The manufacturer's website does not indicate the type of cable needed.[showUid]=347&cHash=2ef074a2c3
However, it uses a common type of memory card SD.  You can take out the card from the camera, insert it into an SD card reader, and the reader's USB jack into the back of the computer. Your photos can be downloaded at Start/My Computer/ and click on the SD card volume (E: or D: etc ) and open any folders inside to see your photos, copy and paste them to your hard drive.

Alternately use picasa software or the irfaniew viewer from to import, view and edit these photos from the SD card.

Praktica dcz unable to delete photos and take picture

You probably have a memory card in your camera.
Remove it and check for a nearly microscopic slide switch on one edge.
This is a 'protect tab' and will not allow you access to memory unless it is properly set.
