I can't get a signal because this tv don't have cable antenna terminal the tv has rgb terminal. I don't know what to do?

RGB is for a computer screen display signal and has nothing to do with TV display of channels. You must have a Component hook up, it is a yellow cable, a red and a white one. Yellow is video signal, the red and white are sound.

When i hook up my converter box, and try to program my stations i get a ( no data) message. I have tried many different approches.

If you are getting a No Data signal displayed on the screen then you know the box is hooked to the TV correctly(if it wasn't you wouldn't get anything on the screen). What you are not getting is a signal to the box. In other words, The box is talking to the TV but nothing is talking to the box.
Look for the simple solutions first and work backwards. Check the coaxial line going into the box. Make sure the ends are good and it doesn't have any kinks in it. If you have Comcast or a similar cable company you can bypass the box for test purposes and go straight into the TV. If a picture doesn't come on then you know the problem is before the box.

I am using a Panasonic TH-50PD12U plasma display as tv monitor. Basic digital cable hooked up through vcr and s-video cable to display. The picture is not clear. Hooked up the computer and the words are...

What connectors do you have at each end, ie output and input?
Is it S-Video at each end or are you converting, as I suspect, composite video out, yellow RCA plug, to S-Video in on monitor?
Converting composite to S-Video via a passive cable doesn't yield good results, as its simply feeding the composite to the two S-Video signal-components, Chroma and Luminance.
As the video output of a VCR has limited bandwidth, the signal out will never be perfectly clear, but if you can get hold of an active 'powered' booster / sharpener / crispener unit, it will help to clean up and amplify the signal, so improving clarity.
Another point:
A lot of generic Composite<>S-Video cables simply bridge or short out the C 'chroma' & Y 'luminance' pins.
A hack to improve the timing signals is to solder a 470pF ceramic capacitor across C and Y as shown in schematic.
This circuit show S-video input, but may work as out.

It may just be possible that DVI signal does not convert to HDMI signal. So in theory this may not be possilbe for you to get a result with your present attempt. May i suggest connecting to the DVI port of the TV. i.e Mini Display to DVI.

Hitachi and PS3

Just a note, I am getting ready to buy the same TV. The person I am buying the TV from says the same thing. Not sure of the answer, but If you have the answer now I would like to know. As far as the sound goes, you will have to hook it up separately, the HDMI-DVI (Digital Video input) Video being the key word, it doesnt carry the audio signal. I hope to figure the problem out this weekend when I actually get te TV and try a few things.

No picture or sound

If you see only snow and the words "NO SIGNAL" are displayed, and you know that you have the set hooked up to a good signal and the TV is set to the right channel, it means that your tuner has stopped working and needs to be replaced. First, though, make sure your signal is good. A good way to test this is to hook the TV to a good VCR, put in a good pre-recorded tape and hit play. Tune the TV to channel 3 (or 4) and if it is still all snow, have the tuner replaced by a qualified tech.

Mono/stereo flashes in upper left tv

The mono/stereo is an indicator of the audio signal that the TV is outputing. Like most car radios, they have an indicator that tells you when a station in coming in clear, which may be just an LED or a light. When the signal is weak or when your on a non-stereo station the indicator will not be on. What signal are you providing to the TV? Cable, OTA, STB output??? low RF signal level could be the cause for this.
