Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices/Volume/Advanced/Playcontrol/Options/Properties/Playback ( check microphone )/Recording ( check microphone) set your volumes. Also make sure your devices are set in the Audio tab.

Hello I bought a microphone Philips SBC MD 110,but I don't know to use it on my pc. Its recognized like a device but dthere is no sound.I have windowsm vista OS,please can someone tell me how can i conecct...

Hi, There is never any driver needed when connecting a microphone to your pc or laptop.
Simply connect the 3.5mm jack to the microphone input on the soundcard of your pc.
Check the settings in the volume control settings at:"Playback" when using the microphone during a live presentation etc."Recording" when making a sound recording or using VOIP like Skype, MSN etc.

Note: this may vary depending on your operating system..

hope it helps..

Microphone work with skype to hear the other side but they cant hear me

check the sound controls on your computer if you are using the sound card. if yes, please check if you have the mic connected to the correct slot on the computer. it should be on your sound card. use skypes's volume control to check as well.

Have a dell inspirion 1521 and My Microphone does not pick up any sound. Please Help

Assuming XP since no operating system is specified.
Assuming internal microphone since external/internal specified.
Assuming you have the microphone plugged into the correct hole if external.
Double click on your speaker icon in the tray (icons next to your clock)
From the menu select options> then properties. check the "recording" option. Turn all the volums all the way up and select one at a time (slect box) and test your mic.

I plugged my Microphone in the pink slot and it doesn't work on Vent, nor does my computer picks up the microphone

Make sure the Front Pink In is enabled.

Find the Volume icon in your Taskbar (little speaker, Right Click - Open Volume Control) or in Control Panel / Sound and Audio Devices. Find Device Volume / Advanced and uncheck the Front Pink In Mute box and slide the volume UP.

How increase my mic volume

a) to hell with calling india, they are as dumb as bush is.
b) click start > accessories > entertainment > volume controls. when the volume controls open, click on file (drop down menu) then select recording, then click ok. when the recording volume controls come up. select microphone as the default recording device, and make sure the mute box is not checked. slide the volume control slider most of the way up.
c) if you are using yahoo's call-out, run the audio wizard in yahoo messenger before making call.
d) plug your microphone into other 3.5 mm jacks on computer, and use window's sound recorder to see if the computer is picking up audio through the mic.
e) make sure your microphone's mute switch is not turned on (if applicable).

I cant get my built in mic to work for my acer travelmate 2313LCi..?

I'm assuming your speakers work and you're running Windows XP. Please correct me if otherwise.

There are two settings for the microphone in Windows XP. One is for the volume of the mic you hear through the speakers. The other is for the recording volume of the microphone (and the volume others here when you speak to them through Skype or another program).

First check the recording volume:
Volume Manager (double click on speaker icon on your taskbar) -> Options -> Properties -> Recording -> OK -> Make sure the Microphone slider is at least halfway turned up and make sure the Microphone is selected

Next check the playback volume:
Volume Manager -> Options -> Properties -> Playback -> OK -> Make sure the Microphone isn't muted and adjust the volume according to your preferences

No Sound Coming out my Microphone

i know this might sound a little obvious and maybe irrelevant to the problem, but did you press the switch on the mic? it will turn the mic on and off. make sure sound and mic are unmuted in windows volume control. if both are these didnt solve the problem, test the mic on another computer. if the mic works, maybe its not the mic that has the problem. if the mic doesnt work, then your mic may be defective or damaged in some way or other.

-> make sure mic is connected correctly in the correct slot to the CPU
->go to control panel-> sound and audio and there is seperate tab for "microphone"-> have th volume to be full
-> you can test whether the mic works there itself.
