Please check the printer properties and reset ti to default. If still not work. re-install the printer. sometime we need to refresh the printer drivers by re-installing printer driver.

Are you sure you are using proper cartridge...

If the new (or refilled/reman/compatible) HP 60 (or 60XL) ink cartridge refuses to complete the printer alignment following cartridge installation, then the ink cartridge either has a connectivity issue with the flexible printed circuit cable (inside unit where cartridge mates with cable), rear cartridge contacts or cable contacts are dirty with ink residue, or the cartridge is suffering from marginal internal electrical performance.

The types of 'more severe' cartridge errors (i.e. "refer to documentation" / "incompatible cartridges", etc.), including blinking power/exclamation lights, typically indicate the internal micro-electronics of the HP #60-61 cartridge are electrically damaged. The cartridge's electrical wire runs at rear and lower side of the ink cartridge, are very delicate and are somewhat susceptible to ink attack over time, which can lead to premature failures. In addition, the older the cartridge the higher the chance of an internal electrical failure due to prolonged ink exposure and subsequent circuit corrosion. I suggest you always run a 'Tap 41' diagnostic test to check cartridges electrical health (this is a forced test); you may also bypass the error (temporarily) on C4600-C4700 models which use HP 60 cartridges. If cartridges are fine, you can Override the Replace Supplies Message. Follow the instructions given below from (Page 146) of HP 2605dn Manual

The same driver software is used by the D2500 printer series, of which your D2560 is one model. So the "D2500 series" drivers are correct.

Make sure you downloaded the correct drivers for your Vista version, 32-bit or 64-bit. The links are to the HP site drivers page for your printer. Also, HP printers often will not work if you connect the printer before installing the drivers. The setup guide and CD both mention this, but it is sometimes overlooked. Try uninstalling the HP software and following the process again, and make sure the printer is not connected until you are instructed to connect it.

These steps will install the proper drivers so Vista can use the printer. If the printer still is not working, please post a follow-up comment with more information: error messages, indicator lights, print quality problems, etc.

Hi,

Try making the other printer offline when ever not in use. Their could be reason this is clash of installed files or else try uninstall of D2500 printer drivers & installing with updated drivers that can be downloaded from support.hp.com.
