The knee lever just pushes in to install, so it is logical that it should just pull out. You may need to apply some muscle and wiggle it at the same time. Possibly apply some heat from a handheld hairdryer. My last option would be spraying a little silicone spray into it.

SOURCE: Juki Sewing machine DDL-555. After 4-5 hours use feed not moving

Sounds like as the machine builds up friction from extended use, some vital part is lacking lubrication and is seizing up. A good service person will remove ALL of the covers and thoroughly air clean and oil every moving part. Sometimes these dry points are hard to find and patience is required.

You can get a sewing machine oiler with a long applicator and put a drop of oil on anything that moves, but over oiling can be messy.

Foot control on my Juki 2010 sewing machine is not working, as if there's no power reaching it at all. There is power to my machine as indicated by light coming on when main power switch turned on.

Pam, Could be a bad/broken wire, may be repairable, you should take your pedal in to be tested, if diagnosed to be bad you may have to order a new replacement pedal. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

How do I tilt my machine back to access the oil pan? The knee lifter bar is in the way and hit when I try to tilt my machine.

I don't know if you were the person that I was just writing to or not. I didn't think about the knee lift. I generally sew on a Juki DDL-5800 and we don't have the knee lift problem. I have an older walking foot with the knee lift. You might try what works with that one. Grab the front of the knee lift, push it towards the back and at the same time pull it up and left. There is a metal peg at the back of the shaft that will release and let you pull the knee lift out so that you can push the machine back. If that doesn't work, see if you can contact me and I can call someone else to find out.

Juki ddl 555 knee lifter is not lifting the foot. How can I fix it?

I imagine that it is the mechanical knee lift that you actually lift with your knee? Sometimes the screw that holds the knee lift rod comes loose a little and starts to slide in the holder. Sit on the floor where you can see the underneath of your table and use a wrench or vise grip to loosen the bracket that holds your knee lift bar with the pad on it. Move the bar to the left and retighten the screw and I think you will be ok. Sometimes if there is too much oil in your pan or you have moved the machine and some of the oil spilled out, a little oil gets out of the pan onto the bar and makes it start to slip. If that doesn't work we'll try something else.

How can I fix the knee lift that is very hard to push

how much srping tension do u have on presser ft. is the tension knob on top of machine screwed all the way down., never necessary by the way. next your arm attached to the knee lifter may be bent and not contacting the lifter bar for presser ft. get under machine and move knee lift with hand to see where contact is being made. bend accordingly. also the link from knee lift bar to link inside the back of the machine may be broken. u have to take off the back panel with all its screws. watch the gasket. you can replace the bar yourself since this will not intefer with the machine timing etc.

Knee lift won't engage on my Juki. Ddl-8700industrial straight stitch

tilt machine back and look at the lifter bar. try moving it now without any pressure on it. move ok then problem too much presser ft tension of the lifter plate on the vertical bar under the machine is bent or not high enough or not align with the botton of the part the machine thta connects to the presser ft. the lifter bar connected to the knee lifter can be bent to line up with the bar on the machine. go to the other side of the machine and look in thru the oil pan to see how they match up.

When using the knee lever, the thread tension appears to change. Is this a software problem or is there a hardware adjustment that needs to be made?

the knee lever should have nothing to do with the tension.
if the thread tension is changing without you changing it, then it sound like a software or computer part of the machine is messed up & needs to be serviced by a repair shop who have the tool to check it
