"LF" is a "LONG FILL" error. This will occur if water fill time exceeds 10 minutes. I don't know why this would pop up at the end of a cycle. Normally this is associated with filling at the beginning of a cycle. There is also an "FL" error, which is an "OVERFILL" error. This is normally associated with a problem with either the control board or wiring harness. This normally occurs when there is an open circuit between pins 1 and 3 on P17 of the control board. That one is a little more involved and usually requires replacement of the control board, wiring harness, or both. If you, indeed, have an "LF" error I would check your water source coming in. Check your fill hoses for kinks or obstructions, first. Then, turn the water supply off and remove the hoses from the back of the machine. Place one end of each hose inside the wash tub and turn both water supply lines back on to make sure you have good water flow coming through the hoses. Replace the hoses if they show signs of bulging, cracks, leaking and/or restricted water flow. Turn water back off and check the fill valve inlet ports on the back of the washer for accumulations of sediments in the screens. It doesn't take much to restrict water flow. You can clean the screens with a cotton swab. If you check everything and still have problems with the error code popping up, I would replace the fill valve. It's an easier fix and less expensive than a control board. If you decide to replace the valve, it is located under the console on your washer, I believe. It's fairly simple with a couple of screws to remove on the console and a couple of connectors and hoses on the valve to remove. Make sure you unplug the machine and turn off the water supply before attempting. I hope you find this advice helpful. Let me know if this works for you.

I don't know if you've tried this, but when my washing machine misbehaves or the buttons wig out or it stops working, I just unplug from 110 for a few minutes and plug it back in. This has always worked for me.

Kenmore washer 110 stops and displays LF

LF means long fill, there is a problem with the water pressure, the strainer on the inlets or the water level sensor.

My Kenmore top loading series 700 type 580 is given me a LF code can u help

LF is the error code for Long Fill.

Sometimes a bad or plugged water inlet valve YOU MAY need to replace the water valve.
In SOME cases the drain hose wash may be siphoning the water out of the washer as it tried to fill.

pulled the drain hose up out of the stand pipe a little to keep it from siphoning

Estimated time remaining readout shows AF instead of the time left. It is a Kenmore 700 series dryer

AF stands for Algorithm Failure, which means that there is something preventing the dryer from calculating the remaining time. Try cleaning out the dryer drum and lint screen completely, then run the dryer with just a dry towel.

Our washers keep flashing LF after the wash cyle and stops workin, not spining very fast either.

Hello there :
the Dreaded LF code means
LF Long fill If the water fill time exceeds ten minutes, the water valves are turned off and "LF" is flashed.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
check the water controle inlet valves that are attached to the machine for proper operation and replace if found bad

It means that your machine is taking longer then a specified time (~10 Mins) to fill!! Check your water pressure, the water valves, the little filters in the hose, where it screws into the water and/or machine. Good Luck

Kenmore Oasis has LF code on and won't reset

The LF code indicates "Long Fill" which means it is taking too long for the water to fill the washer (times out). From the owner's manual:

"LF" (Washer is taking too long to fill)
Check the following:
Are the water inlet hoses kinked or clogged?
Are the water inlet valve screens clear?
Press STOP to clear display.

Here's a suggestion I found that worked for me:

Check your drain hose to see it it's stuffed too far down the standpipe. Another poster had this problem and it gave her LF errors. If the drain hose hangs down too far it can siphon water out of the washer, and then the washer thinks it's taking too long too fill. There's supposed to be a U-shaped plastic bracket that sets the length of the drain hose where it goes into the standpipe. Your installer may have tossed it.
