Remove the needle. FORCE the handwheel in the normal direction of travel. You can't break it. It will free up. Then run the machine for 10 seconds at full speed.

Make sure the bobbin winder is not activated. Is there thread tangled in the bobbin/hook area? Other than that suggestion, may be time to take it for service.
