My dyson vacuum is a handheld cordless. The switch keeps sticking and if I pull the switch with my nail it starts working but getting fed up with it. I was thinking I could spray it with WD40.

SOURCE: Removing the battery

The battery is located at the bottom of the handle. To release it, press and hold down the button on top of the battery case (it has 3 ridges on it). That releases a catch and you can then slide the battery out to the rear.

SOURCE: Dyson DC16 Handheld Vacuum Cleaner Manual

Yes! Go to www.dyson.com/support. Click on "using your dyson", then (next window) on "select your model", then (next window) on "select your model" again, then (next window) on "DC user guide". And there you are, you've got a copy of the user manual.

Switch not working on dyson 44

We have had to return 2 of the same units and are on our 3rd one. So as far as I know they can't be fixed. They took it back no questions except of course, why I was returning it.

I have a dc56, will the new tangle free turbine tool, part No 925068, fit it?

Hi Lyn, it's Jack at Dyson.

DC56, the new Dyson Hard vacuum cleaner, is engineered for quick cleanups on hard floor surfaces - wood, laminate, lino, tile etc. It also converts into a powerful handheld vacuum for dusting tasks around the home and inside the car.

The Dyson Hard is not designed for use on carpeted floors, and we do not manufacture a motorised head for this machine as it lacks the wiring and connections needed to supply current to a motorised head.

Airflow-driven Turbine heads, such as the Tangle-free Turbine tool, are engineered to work with the performance characteristics of our mains-powered vacuum cleaners, and are not compatible with Dyson cordless or handheld vacuums.

However, we do have a range of accessories which are compatible with DC56, and you can find these on our website: http://www.dyson.co.uk/accessories/variant-accessories.aspx?pid=DC56-dyson-hard

Dyson dc30 switch suddenly not working properly

Sounds like the switch is bad. If it's not still under warranty I'd look up a replacement part.

My vacuum will not run continuously

It should still be under warranty so take it back to the suppler, distributor or Dyson if you are near.

I got a Dyson DC16 handheld cordless. Nothing happens when I press the trigger. When I take the canister off, I try and move the black "fan" thing but it won't budge. Should It move? How do I get the motor...

hi you have to take all the switch to bits which allows the cable to be free so you can get the motor out which is still tricky but i dont think this is the problem i think this dyson is a bad design its got printed circuits in that could be the problem i think mr dyson want to go back to the drawing room with this one. p.s ive got two they start up when they feel like it.
