G.D. motor has a reset button on the end bell or bottom, push in to reset. G.D. motor circuit breaker is in middle position when tripped, turn to off position, then to on to restore power to G.D. switch and motor.
Be careful.
There may be something stuck inside the disposal blocking it but you want to be cautious.

How to Reset Garbage Disposal InSinkErator
SOURCE: How to knock out garbage disposal plug
Turn off the power source to the garbage disposal. Take the drain hose from the dishwasher off the connector going to the disposal (if connected). Insert a flat blade screwdriver in the drain hose fitting and tap a few times with a hammer. The plastic plug will pop off inside the garbage disposal. Reach inside from the top of the disposal to retrieve the plastic plug. Sometimes you have to use a little force to tap the plug out. Hope this helps you.

It sounds like the disposer has something jamming it. Try using the breaker wrench supplied with the disposer (or a suitable-size hex wrench) fitted into the socket on the bottom. Rock the wrench back and forth to see if you can loosen the jam. Another trick is to use a wooden rod (end of a broom handle, for example) to push on the blade to try dislodging the jam. Look inside with a flashlight to see if there is something that is easily missed. (I have found drink can tabs, coins and a shelf clip that way.)
It's also possible the motor starting capacitor inside the disposer or the motor itself is bad, in which case you would probably spend less on a new disposer than on repairing this one. But a jam is more likely.

Don to install a new one.
don't think it is a DYI and by the time you call for service it would be cheaper and use your DIY.
Hope this is a FixYa

The plug is thin plastic. Use a flat blade screw driver and a hammer to knock it out. I know this sounds primitive but this is how it is done. I have been a plumber for thirty years.

should have came with a alen key use it. to loosen the blades that are stuck on the bottom of the gaburator theree should be a hole in the middle. Just fine a alen key that fits in the hole and turn it around and then turn it on should solve your problem
Hi,
To fix that the motor will have to be replaced and that will cost almost as much as a new disposal...
