I washer my Riding mower now it won't start, just no power

After washing my mower and probably wetting something that I shouldn't it won't start. I thought it was the battery, I charged it over night and still nothing. I'm afraid I may have shorted something out. It just doesn't seem like it's getting any power. No lights, just nothing. The mower has an automatic safety shut off switch under the seat. That may be something, I looked at it and wiggled some wires it appears to be working fine. I'm just not sure exactly what it is and would like to fix it myself to save the cost of taking it to the shop adn I need to cut the grass....soon

Sounds like you may have shorted out a main fuse. The main fuse should either be under the seat where you found that switch or under the bonnet next to the gas tank. Could also be a loose wire going to the solenoid which is also next to the gas tank. Check the solenoid by turning the key on the then use a heavy jumper wire between the two large posts on the solenoid. it should engage the starter, if it doesn't then you have a loose wire somewhere between the battery, ignition or solenoid. Yet again it could also be the key's ignition itself. That should be checked by someone qualified so you don't run the risk of melting something. Very simple test actually and should cost much more than 20 bucks to check it out. Good luck.

My Yard Riding Lawn Mower won't start when I turn the key on it just clicks

Click means solenoid has enough battery power but maybe not enough battery power for the armature of the starter to spin, it may be low battery or bad solenoid contact - inside it, (copper washer and pin), or thirdly it may be the engine is stuck so try to turn it a bit by hand to rule this out. Turning the engine a bit by hand may also free a starter gear that has jammed on the flywheel teeth.

John Deere will fire up and immediately die and then won't start again. What should I do?

Usually this symptom means a clogged filter, gas tank outlet tube is plugged or a clogged needle valve. But if it smells gassy it is probably not starving, but may be running too rich. If it does not smell gassy then it's probably a fuel delivery problem. Sometime rubber fuel hoses can swell up inside and restrict flow.

My MTD Yard machines riding mower won't start.

Probably dead gas from sitting too long. Dump it out & put in fresh gas.Could have moisture in it. Pull out spark plug & crank it over several times after putting gas & let it sit a while to dry out or blow it out with compressed air. It should go.

Clogged draining boot?

Check the drain filter and the drain hose at the back.

Drain filter access is located in the fro lower section of the front size. You need to remove the trim at the base of the washer and to undo the cap, turning it counter clockwise. Disconnect power before starting and keep a container ready to collect the water.

Craftman riding mower quit, ran one side of deck into a dirt bank. No power, the fuse is behind dash, my gas tank is there. Do i remove it?

I unhooked my wiring harness from frame so you can get to the fuse. The gas tank shouldn't be that to remove. 4 bolts and the gas line.

Koolatron mosquito trap fan won't run.Power to the machine but the fan won't run

I have been experiencing the same issue, and I solved my problem by cleaing the mosquito guts off the side of the fan body and blades with a wet toothbrush. I unplugged the unit and brought the entire head into the laundry room wash tub. remove the screened cup and then you can access the fan from the bottom. It would make life easier if you cut the plastic framing off, but you can reach in with a small toothbrush if you have some patience.

The tub moves to freely and bangs on the washer sides

The tub shouldn't bang on the inside of the washer cabinet, as you already know. That is not a "normal" way for it to fail. Rather, I suspect something else. First try this: If you have your washer right next to your dryer, the washer itself is probably banging against the dryer during specific times during the wash - but most likely during the spin cycle. If you spread them apart a little bit - or stuff a towel or two between them, you may find that it stops banging. The washer may also be hitting something other the dry, too. Check all around the washer - try to keep and inch or two between it and anything else. If it still is banging - then something else is causing it.

Good luck!
