Question about Dishwashers
Door won't latch. There is nothing blocking the baskets or lodged in there. The dishwasher runs if I hold the door in. The latch won't hold the door in place.
The most common cause of your stated problem is that the latch or the latch catch has slid over a little bit so it doesn't match up as it needs to. Typically, there are two screws there that you can loosen to reposition the latch. After it is in the right spot tighten the screws back down and you will be in business.
