Picture goes blank

I have a Dynex 32 inch HD and even when first got it in would intermidently need to be reset to get the picture back. Eventually, all it would do is give sound. By eventually, I mean less than a month after purchase. I have tried hard resets, no luck. The "please wait" message still shows, but then goes blank and there is nothing on the screen.

We let it sit and used our old set for about a month or so, waiting to have the money to have someone look at it. Still no luck. It's still not working. I think this is a crappy brand and will never buy another Dynex TV again. Money down the drain as Best Buy was absolutely no help at all.

I have a sort of unique (at least I think) problem. It's an LCD television and it is hooked up to a PS2, and XBox 360, and normal cable. The XBox is hooked up to the HDTV YPbPr 1 hook up, and is the only unit producing a clear picture with sound. On the TV and AV hook-ups, there is sound, but the picture is skipping, and is a distorted black/gray color. 
I've checked through all of the options in the menu section and I've come to no conclusion as to what th e problem may be. Someone help, please?

I have the same problem. The tv comes on fine then the screen goes black. It is resolved by turning it off and waiting about 30 seconds to turn it back on. We it happens again, it won't come on at all. Can this be repaired?

my screen goes white too, how can i fix the backlight problem?

I am having the same problem with my LG plasma TV. The TV turns on and the picture and sound is normal. After about 7 minutes, the picture flashes a neon color, than goes black. The sound still works. If I turn the TV off for a few minutes, than turn it back on, the exact same thing happens. Any suggestions?

I have a gateway model number shd-3010 and after about 10 minutes it goes black with full sound. After turning it off and back on, it does it again. After another 10 minutes, it does it again but for the last time.

Any help woudl be appreciated.

I too have the same problem. so are you saying that if i can see an image by using a flash light that it is the back light and not the back light inverter board

tv turns on with picture, then within a few seconds picture goes off but has sound. Resetting the tv by holding down the power button has worked, but not anymore.

The TV ...Vizio...has been working fine for six months, then all of a sudden the picture goes white. The sound is ok, just a white picture. Turned the TV off and back on. The picture appeared for a second, but then white again. No idea.
