Question about Heating & Cooling
Given that you experience a circuit trip with this the problem - it is most likely caused by one of two things;
Do take proper precautions to avoid the risk of electric shock when examining these items;
1) Faulty element in the heating tank there are at least two - three in a 10kw shower. You can check them with a multi meter and you should have a reading of around 12>18 ohms if they are functioning correctly.
If you have power to the elements and no heat the element(s) are faulty. If there is no power to the elements there may be a problem with a micro switch.
2) Faulty Thermal Cutout (TCO) This is a black disk with two wires going to it and it is mounted on the outlet pipe (The bit between the heating tank and the hose). This cuts off heat in the event of a problem being detected and may have been fused by the circuit tripping.
However the initial cause of circuit tripping may be faulty element as above.
Examine the connections on the TCO closely for any discoloration or signs of overheating. If this is evident the TCO needs to be replaced.
Hope this helps. If so please do rate my answer once you have accepted it. Many Thanks.

The circuit breaker trips for a reason. Often, the reason is that the circuit breaker itself has gone bad. Begin by replacing the circuit breaker. That will likely solve your problem. If it does not solve the problem get back.
