My cd dvd whirrs loudly.Light stays on.Can't open tray only once in awhile. I never use it. I'm 77 yrs. old so may not understand technical terms you might use. What to do? At times the cursor will appear on screen along with a circle attached to it maybe representing a disk?? Anyhow, what can I do?

Sounds like there may be a problem with your CD/DVD tray...did you call the manufacturer for a replacement if it is still under warranty.
