Take to authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer for repair. This is not something that can be done by the owner. Check Husqvarna Viking website for dealer closest too you.

The overload message is usuall due to a bind in the mechanical function of the machine. When the motor has an extra "load" caused by something like a tight belt or dry bearing, it "overloads" the motor and the error message is displayed. It is doubtful your problem is computer related. Either way a trip to your service tech is required. If you continue to sew with it, you do run the risk of possible damage to some other parts of your machine. The computer portion of your Husqvarna is guaranteed for 5 years and the mechanical parts carry a 20 or 25 year guarantee depending on when you purchased your machine. A copy of your bill of sale from a Husqvarna Viking dealer or a stamped warranty card is the proof of purchase needed to obtain warranty replacement of parts. Labor is only guaranteed for 1 year.
SOURCE: Where can I get a manual for a husqvarna viking
Trying you local dealer would be the first place, if they don't have one you could call Viking at: 1-800-474-6437 to see if they could get you a photo copy of the original owners manual.

I have a huskystar E20, husqvarna viking sewing machine. I the bobbin winder is not engaging...any suggestions"
Are you using the right bobbin - class 15 and not 15J? I am having a similar problem and I believe it's because I'm using a bobbin 15J and not the 15. 15J's are just slightly less tall when lying flat next to a 15, and the edges of the 15J are slightly curved inward toward the thread whereas the 15's edge are completely straight and flat. If I hold a 15J just right on the winder, I can get it to engage sometimes. That slight size difference must be the cause. I'm off to pick up some new 15's and will test it out!
