Question about Toshiba (K000680310) for Satellite 1605CDS, 1625CDT, 1675CDS, 1695CDT
Yes, Hi. we get a disk read error, and cannot turn computer on. I spoke with someone at Toshiba and they recommend taking it to adealer/repair to get a new hard drive,
Can I do that myself?
It is not that hard to remove the drive, though, if you are prone to have leftover screws when you take devices apart, you should get help. And before you part with your cash, make sure that the hard disks available are compatble with your laptop, since I have difficulties finding non SATA (IDE) disks for my old 5005.
