I am looking for a manual for the Mitsubishi relsew DB-130. I need to know the best way to thread the bobin and the correct way to put in the needle. I will take a photocopy of the manual if someone has one?

Hi Sandra, did you manage to find a manual in the end? If so, I'd love to hear where you got it from... I am searching for one too.

My janome 1600p db tension is to tight even on the low number on dial

check again how it is threaded as the thread can get behind the tension plates and jam around the threaded bolt mostly unnoticed during the process

My Janome 1600 keeps breaking threads

Is the tension too tight? Are the tension discs clean? Remove bobbin case, clean it and re-thread as this may be jammed.

Why does my thread get fuzzy all the time when sewing

Try using a different brand of thread. I do quilting and have been using good quality thread and no problem.

Top thread keeps breaking

These are some causes. The thread guide has been missed so re-thread the machine. Tension is too tight. Needle is blunt or bent. Thread is getting caught on the rough edge of the spool so turn spool around. Hope this helps

Top sewing thread keeps breaking

generally, this is a threading problem, but don't rule out that you may have a weak thread.
try cleaning all the guides by cutting a thread at the cotton reel and pulling it towrds the needle, and double check the tension. i hope this helps

Janome 1600P-DB Tension Works For So Long...

It sounds as though the thread is jumping out of the tension assembly. The next time this happens, do not raise the presser foot before you do the following.Cut the thread above the needle and pull on it.If it is working properly there will be tension on it.If it is not working properly, the thread will pull through very easily. If the thread is coming out of the tension , either it isn't threaded correctly or you may need to wrap the thread around the bobbin winder guide to keep it from coming out.If you wrap it around the bobbin winder guide reduce the tension to around 2 , 3 or even less.
Hope this helps.

Try practicing on a test piece before moving on to the quilt. Batik fabric is beautiful! I would check the thread size and needle. I tried quilting with invisible thread and had the same problem. The minute I changed to 50 wt.thread and a new needle the problem disappeared. I've found that 40 or 50 wt. thread works best on my Janome.
