I think you have to change the "source", on your TV. But you know that you need 1 link for the PC and 1 link for the sound of the PC.
After you have to do"fn"+F4, to share your screen with another screen (for my PC it's F4 but it is possible that on your's it's another "Fn")
Expect to help

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a toshiba laptop a205 I have the usb adapter to hdmi cable hooked up to the tv I cant get picture or sound

First, you need to check the input setting on the TV (change it to HDMI and which HDMI because some TV have more than one HDMI input).
Second, please check the Output on the laptop (cycle it; laptop only, external monitor only, both of the screens).

My Proline W76S laptop switches itself off after few seconds and does not want to re-boot, i took out the battery and tried with the internal power source but still th same problem, i tried ctrl+Alt+F

It sounds like your CPU could be overheating. Verify that there is no dust blocking the exhaust fans. If there is, use some electronics air cleaner to remove it and try again.

Connect pc to toshiba 40bv700b television as a second monitor

The easiest way is just run a HDMI cable from your pc to the TV. Then just change the display settings on your PC to enable the second monitor feature. Change the TV input to the HDMI port that the PC is hooked up to. And you should be ready to go.

I can connect my laptop to a monitor and it works ok. When I connect to the Panasonic TX-L32S20BA tv in the same way (through the PC input) and select PC input I don't get a picture. Any suggestions?

Hi
Before connecting it to your Tv try to turn down your resolution settings on your laptop to 680 or something, Maybe your TV does not support the resolution your laptop is in at the moment.

Proline tv LD3240HD, remote control is lost and now childlock has been enabled, so it will not switch on or do anything. Thank you

Hi there. I can help you. The quickest way to be back up and running is to purchase a compatible universal remote control.

I would go to radio shack. Tell them your TV brand and model and they will match that up to a universal remote. The universal remote will have a book of codes so that you can program it when you get it back home.

Connecting laptop to tv

1. If your tv has a PC input, use a vga cable, from any normal computer monitor.

2. If you use those HD connectors, match them to the correct colour coded inputs on the tv.

In each case, do all the connecting with the computer POWERED OFF. Then when connected, boot the computer, and allow Windows to auto-detect the 'new monitor', as it will 'see' it.

Then you shoud right click on your desktop, choose properties, and goto 'settings'. From there you will see monitors 1 and 2. click on the new monitor and 'enable' it.

You also have the option of 'extending' windows to the second monitor, as well as making this your 'default monitor'. Experiment to see what best suits your needs,

Erik.

Usually one of the function buttons F5-F8 etc together with the FN button will toggle through from lcd to tv/external monitor to both.

Is the cable S-Video or does your tv accept a dvi or vga input?
Do you connect using the s-video output on the laptop or the standard external monitor port?
