    hi
its a anti-rotation device which fits between the gap of the forks, the tab does not extend far enough and also too high from the gap.

    hi
could i instead use medium strength thread lock on the wheel nut?

Is it different from one side to the other. If not try filing it down a bit at a time to fit.

That doesn't sound like anything I've seen before. Could you go to a fastener place or a farm implement dealer or a motorcycle shop with the piece and tell them what you are doing and see if they can suggest something. If its out of a kit that you are building maybe the manufacturer of the kit can help you.

You could possibly try that as long as you are able to remove the nut later if you get a flat. You might consider looking for the right thickness lock washer or a star washer. Some of the best fixes are improvised. You will want it solid but not too permanent that you can't work on it later if necessary.

How to fit front wheel bearings Which brand to use for quality

If the car is front wheel drive a puller is required to dismantle the hub a rather involved job better left to a mechanic .If rear wheel drive do the following. ( Applies to front wheel drive also.) Chock rear wheels, loosen front wheel nuts, jack up car, fit safety stands, remove wheel , remove grease cap from axle. remove split pin or locking nut on axle ,Remove hub, with a punch drive out the grease seal ,the tapered cone bearings can now be removed, the 2 bearing cups still in the housing will have to be pressed out ,all old grease has to be cleaned out. the new cones must be repacked with high temp bearing grease . tap in the seal with the lip facing inwards , slide on the hub fit the outer cone to the axle , the spacer and nut goes on next, tighten the nut to seat the bearings , spin the hub make sure its free to spin, back off the nut one eighth of a turn fit a new split pin or lock tab. fit grease cap and road wheel.

I purchased an electric adult tricycle (e wheels) the bike came 90% complete the front wheel need assembled there were a hook washer ( a washer with a tiny nib/hook that fits into a hole in the bike), and...

  • First off thank you for so much information. It makes me providing a solution so much easier. Now for the trike.

  • The washers are as follows
  1. The washers with the tabs ("hook") will both go on the outside of the frame. If you look there there is a little hole for the tabs on the outside of the fork for them tabs to go into. This is a safety feature should your bolts somehow loosen a tad it keeps your front wheel on.
  2. And the other two washers go against the inside of the fork on either side.
  3. So you will put a regular washer on each side of the shaft.
  4. Then you will place the wheel on the forks.
  5. The you will place a "hooked" washer, one on each side, with the "hooks" facing the forks with the hook falling into each little hole. Now put a nut on each shaft and tighten them well.
  • As for your fuse Radio Shack is gonna be your best bet at getting one that small of size unless you want to go off the internet did you mean 25Amp or .25Amp? You can do an E-bay search or Amazon search and find fuses far cheaper than Radio Shack.
  • As for the fuse location, look under the battery cover and on the wire leading out of there will have a fuse holder inline. Twist it open and install the fuse. Either direction is fine, Makes no difference.

HOW DO YOU PUT THE BIKE IN THE STAND?

Do you mean a bike stand, that you lock it to? If so, simply follow these steps and you'll be ready to go in no time!

1. Get bike to rack
2. Get off bike
3. Stick wheel through gap in metal bars of stand.
4. Lock bike to rack, passing the lock THROUGH the frame of the bike, not just a wheel.
5. Grab your keys and head inside, your done!

How do you remove the front fender on a Harley Davidson touring bike?

Depending on the bike.. On all the "easiest" thing to do is drop the front wheel, remove the 4 bolts holding the fender on. Watch out for the sheet metal tabs that lock the bolts in place. Now depending on the model you may have a light on the front of your fender, you will have the joy of disconnecting it first. Hope this helps.

Abs

There are speed sensors for the abs in the front wheel bearing assemblies. Rust builds up and changes the air gap between the speed sensor and the reluctor ring inside of the hub. The rust needs to be cleaned away to restore the proper air gap it fix the problem.
