The blend door is vacuum operated.
Check the vacuum for leaks using a tool like this : Fuel Pump and Vacuum hand Gauge...
.

Check with particular attention the vacuum hose that goes to recirculation vacuum motorunder the hood. Start from there, as that is a common vacuum leak that can cause trouble to the blend door.

The blend door actuator is fine, or the blend door won't open at all.
Look for vacuum leaks.

Regards.

The roller shutter does not stop while rolling up, noting it has a motor, what would be the problem?

The "up" limit switch is not working. there will be one to stop the door going up and another to stop it at the bottom.
They could be magnetic or a contact micro switch, check the door track and look for something at the top of the track with wires coming out and see if it lines up with something on the door when it is in the normal open position.Similar to a burglar alarm contact on a door or window. You could try putting a magnet next to it as the door is opening to see if it stops or if it is a mechanical switch try operating it manually (preferably with an insulated screwdriver)

Amber flashing light while on home base. New, pulled tab, placed on dock. First time said charge err1, took out battery and replaced. Now just flashes amber. Is this correct?

Your manuals are here. Flashing lights must be covered. A quick look at the site says flashing red is bin full. In fact, I found it. Flashing Amber is CHARGING.

Wertheim x3000 motor running but little suction?

Check all of the filters. When there's extra heat, it's usually blocked filters.

If not, dismantle the wand and use long pipe cleaners or a bottle brush to clear any possible jams in the wand or head. Remove the hose from the main unit and if possible, drop ball bearings or marbles down the hose to try and clear any blockage. Remember to recover all of the ball bearings or marbles before you reassemble the hose and wand.

Why are the brushes turning until they are placed on the carpet?

The brushes are not powered by a motor but by the exhaust of the vac motor. They must have lots of air to even turn at a slow RPM. You may have a lint blockage on the air which cuts the volume of air to the turbine that spins the brushes. Look for lint on the filter. I recall it was on the operators left side on the base of the machine towards the front.

Hi,

TYhe iRobot Roomba has different model designations. Here is a webpage with a list of what the beeps mean in the 400 series. I am thinking that is what you have. 3 beeps means the dirt cup is dirty, filters are dirty, or debris in collecting and it needs to be cleaned.

Here is the webpage: http://uksupport.irobot.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1047/kw/iRobot%20Roomba%20Discovery%20SE%20Bagless%20Robotic%204200%20series%20Vacuum%20beeps%203%20times/related/1

Hope this helps. If it does, I would appreciate a vote. Thanks,

My roomba 550 goes round and round going know where.all the rest work ok

I have the complete service manual for the 550 series. It is in PDF format and if you would like the complete manual, give me your email address and I will send it to you. Below is the basic cause and repair for your irobot's condition.
Circling at slow, normal or rapid speed:
Most common causes: Dirt has infiltrated the wheel encoder or a drive belt has failed.
In MOST cases, the robot's software will recognize and correct the behavior within minutes. If the battery was recently reset, the robot may act erratic again at startup until the software has a chance to correct the condition. • If the Robot does not resume normal driving behavior within the first couple minutes of runtime, go to DRIVE WHEEL Module inspection and cleaning (Appendix C). If cleaning wheel modules does not correct the problem, both wheel modules may need to be replaced. • Replace drive wheel modules if fixes fail.

I have an older Electrolux canister vacuum - model #2100 and the temperature sensor shuts down the motor. How to I take apart and clean?

Check to be certain the thermo lite is on and not the bag full indicator. The thermo detector is very reliable, but the bag fill valve often fails. If it is the thermo, check your hose and wand for blockage by dropping a coin through them, before opening the vac itself.Otherwise you may have a bad set of motor bearings causing the motor to overheat due to its age.
The 2100 and all its canister cousins made since 1982 seem to be prone to failure of the dial valve on top cracking internally. The causes the bag full indicator to come on and the vac to shut down.
To open the vac you will need to slide the locking keys and bumpers forward with the bag door open. Do this with a set of pliers. Once done the vac will open from front to back like a **** shell. Be careful to look at the underside hinge are of the bag door before separating and mark and locate the wiring harness . This vac only goes back together one way, perfectly assembled it pops together with ease. If any piece is out of line it`s like a RUBIKS Cube. Take your time . OEM parts are only available through an AERUS Elctrolux dealer or repair shop

It's an old cannister electrolux vacuum cleaner and it's not worth to have it serviced. The motor is noisy it appears to be obstructed but I can't open it since I don't see any screws. Would you please...

You will need to peel the soft rubber bumpers away from the side, like pealing a banana. Grip the bumper tabs with needle nose pliers from the bag area with door open. Underneath will be a set of locking keys which slide forward ONLY out the front of the machine. Once they are removed the front of the vac will scissor open allowing the rear housing to drop off. This is normally done in a cradle in a shop. Tag your wiring harness before removing the motor. The motor slides up out of keyed slots. replacement is the opposite.Rubber O ring is a motor seal and must be clean and properly aligned. Motor MUST reinstall with housing in slots. Check your fans for dirt and bearings for replacement. 8mm shaft size 108 bearing???

Can not charge thr battery

bbaker58,
When you press the "clean" button after charging, does the Roomba give you any audible tones? Those tones are the key to understanding failures in the 400 series. See chart below to decode those tones
If you get no tones at all, then either (1) you're not getting power from the battery to the main circuit board or (2) the main circuit board is dead. You really have to open the unit up to figure out which it is. Circuit board replacement is a pretty involved procedure since it requires disassembly of almost the entire robot. If you are brave and want to try it, replacement PCAs are available from places like www.RoboticVacParts.com. They are my favorite shop because they sell parts tha iRobot refuses to sell to consumers and they're prices always beat what iRobot charges.
