The fuser may need renewal.
This is the 'heated roller' that melts the toner powder into the paper fibers.
A techie needs to check and renew.

SOURCE: fuser error 50.2

1) First thing is check power source. If you have the printer plugged into a UPS (uninterruptilbe power source) unplug it and plug it directly into the wall. If it is plugged into the wall you might want to try a different outlet to see if it solves the problem.
2) Remove and reinstall the fuser. It may not have seated properly.
#) Make sure you installed the correct fuser. Should be RM1-1082. There should be a sticker on the fuser with this number. See the following article for more info. http://www.partsnow.com/service_today/0705.asp

If you still have the old fuser check also that it is a RM1-1082. If not you may have a euro version machine which would require a different fuser.

If the fusers match up you should check the voltage coming to the fuser if possible. If there is 100- 127 volts where the fuser plugs in you probably got a bad fuser or it was damaged in transit. If there is low voltage or no voltage you may have a board problem. Probably DC controller or Power Supply.

SOURCE: hp colour laserjet 9500 hdn with noise and fuser error 50.6 .

Look at fuser rollers and make sure the new one doesnt have spacing to far in between rollers. Also on front side of fuser there is a big connector that meshes with one inside machine. The fuser connector assy RG5-5925-000CN could be broken as well

SOURCE: 50.1 fuser error on HP 8150 LaserJet Printer

I have a HP LaserJet 5000 with a Fuser Error code 50.1, meaning low temp. I am not a tech, but I have been repairing my own cars, printing presses, computers, printers and anything else that breaks for over 35 years. The previous fuser on my LaserJet 5000 lasted over 7 years and while I was not getting any error codes, it was not fusing laser plates as well as I liked. Until recently I had two HP 5000 LaserJets and was able to trouble shoot by swapping parts. I replace a bad DC controller board in this particular printer about a year ago. Shortly after that I replaced the fuser with a genuine OEM HP fuser and it fused great for nearly a year. A few weeks ago I had a massive paper jam in the fuser and a day later got a Fuser Error 50.1. After checking the Internet I determined it might have broken the ceramic heating element. I swapped fuser with the one in my other identical working printer and the fuser error went away. I swapped the fusers back again and the error returned, pretty much proving the problem is in the fuser. Since I am not made of money I figured I could rebuild a fuser just as well as anyone else so I went on a search for the parts, but it was like calling Area 51 and asking what they were hiding. The service manual indicated some ohms testing to be done on the problem fuser and all results came back showing all the correct readings. I knew the fuser was the cause of the error, and the parts were not cheap so I carefully disassembled the fuser to see if I could isolate the exact part that was broken. The ceramic heating element and everything else looks fine. One detail I had found odd was that the printer used to take a couple of minutes or more to heat up, but I now got the fuser error 50.1 within 15 or 20 seconds of powering it on. This made me wonder if it would even have enough time to heat up enough to know it had a low temp problem. I thought the problem might be in the part that actually measured the temp. While I had the fuser apart I found one small resistor attached to the frame directly under the main drive gear. I did an ohms test on the resistor and it showed bad. I really hate to tear my good fuser apart to swap the resistors for fear I might burn it up to, so has anyone out there heard of a bad resistor causing a 50.1 error? I found only one reference on one site about a different LaserJet with a 50.1 code because of a bad resistor, and I have no idea where that resistor is on that particular printer. I know I could have just replaced the fuser by now, but I like to learn how things work and solve puzzles like this one. I am hoping some of my info may be of help to someone and if anyone has anyone ideas or thoughts on my comments, I would love to hear them. I will go on a search for a resistor next week and see if that helps. I hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks and God bless. James

SOURCE: I Have HP Laserjet 3055

You can reseat the fuser or you will have to replace the fuser. Please note the these machines the fuser is located in the middle of the machine. Most likley it's a bad fuser.

Error 50.6 in hp laserjet 9500hdn

  • HP II/III series most likely cause is the ac power module is defective. Order the HP II/III Service 50 Error Repair Kit. If the quartz fuser lamp is burned out, order the replacement fuser on specials page. Slight possibility of loose connector on DC controller. See tweaking page DC controller could also be defective, but this is very rare.
  • HP IIP/IIP+/IIIP most likely cause is burned out quartz lamp. Order the HP IIP/IIIP 50 Service Error Repair Kit. Could also be a failure of the power supply.
  • HP 4/4+/5 most likely cause is burned out quartz lamp. Order the HP 4 Service 50 Error Repair Kit. Could also be a failure of the power supply.
  • HP 4L/4P/5L/5P/6L/6P most likely cause is a bad ceramic heating element.
  • All other printers most likely cause is burned out quartz lamp. In rare instances the ac power supply has failed. Even rarer, the DC controller is defective

Paper Jam HP LaserJet 1320

hi,

try to check the maintenance kit of you printer, the possible cause of that are the two main parts of fuser assembly one is the upper roller which is the fixing assembly w/ fuser sleeve try to look at it if it has a silicon paste, if not apply a silicon. the other one is the lower roller which is the pressure roller. check it if you think that it's soo soft rather than the original you need to replace it..

when you done that things your unit is good condition again..

thanks,

HP LaserJet 4 printing but binds up

Have you tried reinstalling the fuser? I am thinking the gears are not driving the exit rollers. If you purchaseda rebuilt fuser, there may even be a gear missing. Compare your new fuser to the old one.

Not printing

That would indicate a fuser error. You try leaving it unplugeed for more than 10 minutes and then pluggin it back it. If it continues the fuser will need to be changed out.
