Unlikely to be the fuse as your pc still works more likely a monitor problem or graphics card.

If you mean the fuse in the actually plug then this is easy. Just unplug from the power supply and remove the screws that hold the plug together. You will see the fuse immedatly, Just use a pencil to lift it out and replace it with a new one. As this is a monitor the fuse is probably a 13 amp but it will say so on the fuse. Make sure you have a spare.

Yes its possible to change the fuse there is a oblong shaped bit underthe plug pull out with a screwdriver and replace fuse. It's the orange bit in this image of a plug a small flat screwdriver is what you use ..but it may be a monitor fault as they don't last forever.

My 1998 GMC TOPKICK 7500 head lights quit working but all other lights work what is the problem?

Its should be one of about 3 answers.
1) Under the hood of your truck inside a black plastic box, is a set of fuses and circuit breakers for:
a) electrical items found in the front of the truck, and
b) electrical items which take a large amount of electricity.
Look at the fuses and circuit breakers in there for a problem.

2) You have a switch that turns on the headlights.
It can fail ( but rarely does). It is your dashboard switch.

3) You may have a "high beam/low beam" switch that you activate (like a turn signal switch) to change high to low or visa versa. It can fail.
God bless your efforts.

Battery changed on mazda 6 and both driver side window dont work

Hi I'm Peter, It would be highly unlikely that changing out a battery would cause the window motor to fail. A couple of things come to mind, one there is a possibility for some reason you may have a fuse blown or a relay go bad these can be checked in the fuse box under the hood and possibly the fuse panel inside the car usually somewhere around the drivers left leg. Another possibility I have seen is where someone put a cheaper battery with not enough amperage to handle the load of the window motor but they are normally slower then not stopped and also if the other window motors are working the weaker battery most likely isn't the problem. Worse comes to worse and the fuse and\or relay you can remove the switch on the door and check or voltage at the switch and if you do the check continuity through the switch t make sure it is operating. The way you worded your query it seems like the driver and the passenger on the driver side windows or just the driver window and all the rest are working. I would also like to know if there are any other electrical things not working now dome lights, radio, das lights, etc.

Tail lights dash lights out

I would check the main fuse block under the hood. The fuses are usually under a black cover that has the fuse labels on it. It is also possible that a relay has failed as well.

My LG FLATRON W1934S was working fine last night. went to turn it on this morning and nothing happened. no orange or blue lights and it wasnt left in sleep mode either. what could be wrong with it?

I would suspect a problem in the monitor power supply, either a fuse or possible bad filter caps especially if you had to turn it on several times to get it on just before it failed.

If you are able to open it here is what bad caps look like:

Dashlights and high beams wont come on

Play with the ignition switch,If you can disable the starter when the engine is running and can do it in a very safe manner, this way you can turn the ignition and check to see if a ignition electrical part is failing, If you cant disable the starter just be careful how you turn the ignition you are only ruling out the ignition switch electrical part as possible problem or even the solution

One of my computers lost power this morning due to blown fuse. When I turned everything back on the monitor screen has power and no screen.. it is all black

If the power light is on, but the screen never appears to light up, either the backlight or the power inverter have failed.

Dome light will not turn on when door is opened

Do any of the doors trigger the light when you have the switch set to 'door'?....If not then check the fuse in the box under the bonnet (hood) marked dome on the directory....If that fails check to see if power is going to the fuse....Another reason they will fail to work is contamination on the door switches....Remove one at a time....To do that lift the rubber cover carefully so as not to damage them and then remove the machine screw and carefully remove the switch, take a short length of electrical cable and wind it around the cable going to the switch where you can make good contact and then ground the attached cable to see if the dome light comes on....The power supply is direct to the light and the ground is what is switched....I presume that the dome comes on when the switch is selected....If not take off the lens and then remove the lamp unit retaining machine screws and check power is going to it....Once that is confirmed try the switch as it may be defective....If that is the problem, replace it....The circuit is very simple and cannot be a large problem....Best regards Johngee10

Monitor shows no power light and won't switch on

There probably will be an internal fuse but a warning even when disconnected from the mains your monitor can give you a bad shock and the fuse has probably gone due to another failed component

my advice if unsure let a qualified electrician test it

Monitor comes on for 1 second and then goes black (no Picture) presume it is a broken trace on the main board. This is the 2nd monitor that has the same issue. 2 sepetate brands Dell and Viewsonic.

bburgert, Hi, 12fixlouie here. Possible problem with "switch-mode-power-supply" or the "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp" power supply that is called the "inverter circuit" which lights-up the CCFL lamps. use warranty service if possible. Yes, it could be a broken trace, but more likely a "cold" solder joint or possible bad (failed) capacitors on SMPS board. You or electronics technician will need to visually inspect SMPS/inverter for top 2 causes of BLACK or BLACK and BLANK LCD monitor failures. Read more of my responses in my fixya profile and see if they will help you make decision on what to do. A trip to YOUTUBE will also help if you need to see what is inside a typical CCFL backlit LCD monitor!!! Also try www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm that is run by another fixya tech nickname of buddymc. Lots of good info already on web about YOUR monitor symptom. Some are repaired quite easily by owners who are handy with soldering pencil and solder and some basic hand tools of electronic nature. Good luck on the repair. If this was of some use, then rate it on fixya. Bye for now.

I have to heat up my CRT

it is a weak cathode heater inside the CRT. One fix, besides what you are doing, is to replace the glass tube (crt) inside the monitor. Unless you can find a used one, may be hard to find now. It may also be possible to supply the heater filament with a separate supply. I believe this requires a 6 volt supply, so try adding a 10 volt (FUSED- 2 amp) supply to the filament only.
