Why my Toshiba DVR 670KU will not shut off & will not open for a disc to go in?

hi have a toshiba rdxv59dtkb cant finalize disc go to set up get dvd menu which is not hilighted like others in list

most dvr units froim cable and satellite companies use a type of copy protection that does not allow you to copy programs to a disc. the cable company wont tell you this but they do and there isnt any way to work around it

in the manual it says the DVR will shut down after 3 hours of inactivity . The DVR should put up a message to " press enter " to reset .

Hi, according to what I understand the unit works for some situations especially but you cannot visualize the content, in this case the problem that you one presents shows off to be Cd-DVD's unit that this trumping, if the equipment this one even in guarantee, you must come to an CAS or Center of Authorized Service, in order that they diagnose and replace the unit

It needs DVD-R or RW format to record.

unplug the unit and wait 5 minutes and plug it back in. See if that helps

You're creating Disk images on your Hard Disc Drive.

See where your CD Burning Software stores the images of the Disk and use the appropriate option to burn them onto a blank CD.

Most DVD players cannot playback DVD-RW disc. Use a DVD-R or DVD+R disc and format accordingly.

I have the same model ... you can't use DVD-R or DVD-RW discs, only DVD+R or DVD+RW
