Question about HP Pavilion zd8000 Notebook
I recently upgraded my zd8000 notebook to windows vista ultimate, everything works perfectly and I have downloaded all recent pacthes.
However, my wireless device no longer works. It only recognizes the bluetooth devices, I have even updated my wireless assistant to the current one. But my wireless device is still not recognized.
It looks more like HP tricked windows XP into think the bluetooth device is also a wireless one.
Any help will be appreciated.

HP uses "branded" wireless modules, which means it's got to be HP or it doesn't get to play.
Does device manager see the wireless device? I've had similar situations with the 8000s. Always the driver or the wireless utility was the problem. Try letting windows manage the device, or if you already are, disable that and use the devices utiliy to manage it.
BTW, most systems consider BT as wireless.
Good luck, hope that helps
