My pool cleaner Polaris 280 runs slowly and stops. How can I fix this?

The horizontal threaded end plumbs into the pool return line, and the vertical threaded end (on top) plumbs into the Polaris return line.
This is a dedicated return line for pressure side pool cleaners that has been pre-plumbed into the pool when it was built.

If you pool does not have that cleaner return line Polaris has a kit for an "over the deck" mount. Each installation is not identical and it would be best to have someone on site to set you straight. Most pool guys will stop by for a minute or two and show you "what connects where" at no charge (expect to be invoiced if it turns into a lengthy Q&A). Google image may help. The 280 is an excellent cleaner, good luck with the install!

With these pool cleaners, make sure that you check the filter screen in the filter and clean it if necessary. Clean the skimmer basket, pump basket, and pool filter. Check all of the hoses, connections, and swivels for leaks that could cause loss of water pressure. Make sure that your wheel RPM is correct.

Here is copy of the users manual for these pool cleaners. It has a detailed diagram of all of the parts that is pretty easy to follow. Find the section that you need to change and you should be able to see how to access it. Hope that helps.

Hate to say it but they don't make them anymore. Spend the money and buy a Polaris 280
