What I just did was disassembled the top of the dishwasher. (AEG favorit 40660)
Found there that the waterspraysystem on top of the dishwasser had come out of it's correct place.
It pulled air in and made the system think it was leaking.

Pushed it back in, put lid back on top of dishwasher.

Saved meself an expensive maintenance bill.

Hope someone wil benefit from this.

Regards, JJM

If i'm not mistaken. If you pull the unit out,and remove the left side panel,it should be right there.

Bosch dishwasher. When running, can see water flow down overflow channel to pan at bottom of machine.

If you can see water flowing down the overflow channel to the pan at the bottom of your Bosch dishwasher while it is running, this indicates that there may be a problem with the dishwasher's float switch or water inlet valve.
The float switch is a small device located at the bottom of the dishwasher's tub that is designed to detect the water level inside the dishwasher. If the water level rises too high, the float switch will shut off the water inlet valve to prevent the dishwasher from overflowing. If the float switch is not functioning properly, it may allow water to continue to flow into the dishwasher, resulting in water flowing down the overflow channel to the pan at the bottom.
Another possible cause of this issue could be a faulty water inlet valve. The water inlet valve is responsible for regulating the flow of water into the dishwasher. If the valve is stuck open or is not functioning properly, it may allow water to continue to flow into the dishwasher, resulting in water flowing down the overflow channel to the pan at the bottom.
To resolve this issue, you may need to have a professional technician inspect and repair your Bosch dishwasher. They can test the float switch and water inlet valve to determine the cause of the problem and replace any faulty components as needed.

Dishwasher will not fill with water when turned on

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
The following steps require using electrical power. You assume all responsibility / risk for any mis-fortunes cause by working on this dishwasher with power applied.

The first step will require using a meter on the water valve solenoid teminals.
- Remove all power.
- Remove the lower toe / kick panel(s).
- Locate the main water supply line and follow that to the inlet water valve.
- Slide the connector(s) off of the solenoid and read resistance on meter scale R x 1 or R x 10. You should read a low resistance. If you do not read any resistance the inlet water valve has failed.
If you do read resistance you must check switch the meter to AC voltage and apply power and read for AC voltage on the teminals of the wire harness.
- Start a reular wash cycle to where the unit should be filing with water.
it SHOULD read 120 VAC.
If you have no power at the connector teminals
- Check the float switch plastic FLOAT. If the float is stuck in the UP position due to food particulate on the FLOAT stem you willnot have power to the inlet water valve solenoid.
If you have power to inlet water valve solenoid and it is buzzing / humming but you get no water there is debris in the main water supply line. You wil have to shut off the water supply and clean out the inlet of the water valve.

The inlet water valve replaement part is here:

This is what the float looks like:

This is the level switch assembly:
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/bosch-level-switch-assembly-item-number-ap2802390.aspx

This is the actual Float switch: (3 terminal)
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/bosch-float-switch--3-terminal--item-number-ap2802373.aspx POWER to the inlet water valve solenoid comes from this switch.

Check for s stuck float... and that the level switch is actuated as the float id lifed gently up and down. If you do not hear a micro-switch click the switch is bad. If the float is hard to move... clean it as best you can so that it moves freely up and down.

One of the above is causing your problem.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Not getting water into machine although mains water is reaching hose intake. model number of bosch is sgs44e28eu05 type si1501b

There's no water entering the machine If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these: Water-inlet valve Float switch Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it. Float switch The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it. thanks.

BOSCH DISHWASHER Flooding

Removing the water level sensor it is not a difficult operation, it is held with one bolt at the base of the floater arm.

The problem is that you cannot be sure that the floater is not working unless you find out that the floater is filled with water or stuck.

There is an electronic test to verify if water level switch activated by the floating sensor is working. Instructions here: Bosch dishwasher helps.

You can find replacement water level switch , and schematics on websites below:

Bosch Slimline Classixx, water cutting on/off during filling on any program, have changed inlet valve already, made no difference

Does it still have enough water to wash? Mine does this too. The float is very sensitive. If it gets the dishes clean don't worry about it.

No water in dishwasher

You need the check the water level switch which is located on the diaphram of the water fill assembly. This is located on the laft side of your machine behind the metal panel. if this switch sticks it will not allow water into the machine
