I don't get your proper questions, but assuming you are asking about platform or business plans to bring traffic into your site.
For basic, opening a website who specialized in selling something (Your own product) isn't as easy as it's seem. If you are new to website building, you'll need to learn about basic HTML, CSS, SQL and database. So, I would highly recommend to hiring someone to do it for you, although you familiar with SEO which apart for website design and developments.
Or sign-up through eCommerce platform such as Izzonet, or creating a Wordpress based websites which quite simple and install eCommerce plug-in. Creating website through ecommerce platform can help you enabling shopping carts features, payment gateway, email marketing, dropshipping management, even do SEO for you.
About in which country your audiences stand, it's all about your business plans.

Ok before you go online with your own site try out your product on sites that already are popular and have thousands of lookers and buyers everyday. Sure you may have some competition But this should drive you to do better and be more competitive in both quality and price. I suggest testing out the rsponse to your product by listing on Ebay. When you get organised please send me a link to your product ( on ebay) so i can see how you go. i may be able to help you with wording better your sales pitch.

If you are referring to selling online first thing you can do is to setup an online store. You can hire an expertise eCommerce website to design your store.
You need to design a professional, easy-to-navigate site that loads quickly at both dial-up and broadband speeds.
Register your URL on all the major search engines (including Google.com and Yahoo.com) to make sure your site shows up in relevant searches. Include keywords in meta tags in HTML files to increase the chances of getting hits from search engines. You can also advertise your Web site on heavily trafficked sites and through banner swaps. You ca n also get listed in local directories and on referral Web sites
Another choice is to go to sites like Amazon.com or Half.com to sell used books, CDs and other items at a fixed price. You can list items in exchange for a percentage of the sale. Avoid sites that charge you a fee to post advertisements.
