SOURCE: My corolla is shaking when it drives up to 70 miles
Possible causes of this are, bad tires, tie rod ends worn out, < inner or outer > ball joints, rack and pinion slack. Main causes are generaly found in front end components and if tires are good for certain then have it looked at as soon as you can, < it could lead to dangerous situation >.

Sounds like it might be either the fuel filter or the fuel pump, cause if you ran the tank down, you probably had sludge in the bottom of the tank that you sucked into the engine, you can try using a fuel system cleaner, you may have sucked sludge into the injectors running it, Zmax sells a fuel system cleaner, or there is one called RUN RIGHT, I would try putting some of that in letting it sit a few min then after it sat a few to soak in and break down the sludge, then start the car up, kick your idle up to around 1500 RPM do not go higher then that cause you will damage the engine, try that and see if that works for you, if not then I is probably the fuel pump or filter.
hope this helps.

I wouldn't recommend synthetic oil for a car that appears to have a small leak. Synthetic oil is very thin and will find that smallest of leaks and leave you adding oil all the time. Considering the length of your commute, I'd go with a heavier oil (10W40) or heavier and change the oil every 3000 miles. If the heavier oil doesn't solve your problem, you will need to identify the leak and get it repaired.

Hi,
you have an intermittent fault and need to get the codes read first, it should give an idea of where the fault is.
