Hi Kimberly, we apologize for what you are experiencing with your Dryer. Please make sure that you check your venting from the back of the Dryer to the outside to make sure no lint is clogged. Also make sure that the lint screen is cleaned after each use. You may visit http://bit.ly/2paVfWu and enter your model number to view your Use & Care Manual. If you check your vents and they are clear and you are still having a concern then please email us your address, phone number, the model and serial number, the website you were contacted on, Fixya, your review ID, and date of purchase to [email protected].

This just happened to us a couple of weeks ago, and we called a repair man. I might be able to save you $45 for a service call. In our dryer, the lint can fall out of the lint screen and clog up in the back of the dryer. Remove the back of the dryer (you might have to unscrew the lint screen too) and the ductwork inside the back (it's quite easy, I've now done it since my daughter dropped my sunglasses down the lint screen hole) just keep an eye on your screws. Remove the trapped lint, and vaccum out the hose, making sure there's no kinks in the hose as it runs to your house exhaust. Put the dryer back together and see if it works. If not, you've got a fan problem and will need a repairman. But apparently this is the most common dryer problem and will take about 20 minutes of your time to straighten out.
not sure what model you have, but the strap usually holds it from dropping to far down, remove filter use a flashlight to look down the filter housing, usually lint blocks the filter from going down properly. clean out that are witha vacuumm and try again, if your sure its the strao then bend it or buy a new stap however i have never seen that problem in 15 years of service. hope this helps.
You may want to check the vent. It may be kinked or clogged. Also, check that there is airflow coming out the flap outside. If there is some heat that means the element is good. Now if that isn't it, You may have to take the back off. Of course unplug first. There is a section that feeds down to the vent. Being older it may have a large amount of lint build up over the years. Of course, check the lint screen before doing all of these. Not cleaning the lint screen after each use, will drop efficiency at least 10%. Good luck
When you say you vacumed the lint area, did you mean the lint catcher underneath where the lint screen sits? The most effective way is to remove the 2 1/4" screws on the bottom of the lower front panel. Once you have the panel down and off, you will see a lint chute (the part under the lint screen). Remove the lint screen, 2 more 1/4" screws towards the top of the lint chute on either side and a 1/4 screw on the bottom by the black clip and youcan remove it for best cleaning and also any possible build up around your blower wheel (the white looking fan underneath the lint chute) Can you run it sucessfully without the hose attached? It could indicate a problem between where the hose enters the wall and exits to the outside of the building. (it will get very hot, humid and a little linty doing this test, but it would eliminate any kind of blockage with the venting). When you washed you lint screen did you scrub it? I usually use soap water and an old tooth brush as you can actually get a clear coating on the screen without even being able to see it. How do your seals look? (put your head in the dryer drum and you will see a grey ring both in the rear and as you look back towards yourself) Are they dammaged? Have you cleaned your moisture sensors? This can cause a false error. While you have your head in the drum and are looking back towards the front, you should see 2 silver bars. Clean them off with the abrasive side of a sponge or a fine grit sand paper. If it is still malfuntioning, drop me a note back with your model and serial numbers (loacted just inside as you open the door) and I will see what else I can come up with.
