Re: wireless 11a/g/n

Wireless 11a/g/n just indicates the transfer speed/format which the wireless device in question is able to operate in. There's a bit of a difference of opinion about 802.11a, but generally, you want to use G or if available 802.11N has the best performance opportunity in terms of width and speed of throughput.
Clear as mud huh?
Go with the G or N if possible.
Good luck

Thermal shut down of next book ares 11A ... Happens after 10 minutes of use. How do I fix this?

Sounds like the cooling fan has failed if it shuts off that quickly. Most laptops will require a certain amount of disassembly to replace the cooling fan. Do you hear the fan when it is running before it shuts down?

Having had a look around, MPC don't seem to have Win7 drivers available on their web sites.

This site does however list the XP drivers and the modules they're designed for.

Theres a possible link and loads of info here in respect to your audio driver

and here's a site which may have your wireless lan driver

Interer wireless adapter is missed

I'm not clear on what you mean when you say wireless adapter is 'missed'. Do you mean you think the adapter is MISSING?

If you have a Transport X1000, you should have the internal wireless adapter. However, it may simply be turned OFF.
To turn on your wireless, just press the Fn and F2 keys at the same time.

Slow internet access wirelessly

You can open up devise mgr,(rt click on my computer, click properties, click devise mgr) now look down, you should see network
adapters, you should see on that says wireless, if you rt click on it
and pick update driver, then choose search internet, try this two times, if it finds a newer driver, you will need to restart your system
and hopefully it will run better, or you can see who makes the wireless hardware and go to there site and see if there is a newer driver then the one installed, before you do this, click on driver tab and look at the date of driver, just so you are not getting the same one.

Now if you have the newest driver and still have a slow speed, write down the make and model of the hardware, now go to and run a speed test. Now post back what the hardware is,, the speedtest results, and what OS you are using,xp,vista, and I or someone can explain how to tweak your speed. Hope your driver updates and it works out for you.
