To reset this set to its factory settings:
Press when in a Menu, to reset the settings to the factory defaults. Also user to clear Labels, Channels or Favourite Channels.

To reset the TV fully to its Factory Defaults:

Turn ON the TV while Holding Down the "RESET" button on the remote control, Press the POWER button on the TV. The TV will turn itself OFF, then back ON again. Release the RESET button.

Try a different version firmware update. There might be one with different default values.

Use Default Settings If you want to return the initial language setting such as Language, Video, Audio and etc. to the factory default, do the following: 1) Press SETUP button. 2) Press / button to select Misc. 3) Press button to select Use Default Settings, then press ENTER button. 4) Press / button to select "Yes", then press ENTER button. The original setting will be restored. Screen saver : On Do you want to use default setting? Note When you reset the DVD player to the factory default, the DVD player will take 3-5 seconds to reset.

Find System Settings on the Main Menu. Under System Settings there is an option to Reset To Factory Defaults. Under Reset To Factory Defaults you have options to Reset settings to Factory Default or Deactivate accounts.

I have sony bluray disc player S370 I went to set up scrolled down to resetting selected "reset to factory default settings" scrolled down and selected "system settings" and selected "start" turned off the dvd player waited about 5 seconds and turned it back on. Choose netflix, which is what I was having trouble with in the first place, and it connected. I haven't tried other internet connections through the system, however, if this is truly a sony server issue, it should correct any internet connection issue you may be having.

To reset your Sony BDP-S300,
When the power is ON, hold down the button between 'pause' and 'fast rewind' buttons, on the front panel of the player and press the 'Power" button on the frnt panel itself. No remote control function is required. The player will turn 'OFF" and all of the settings will return to their factory defaults. OK.

I was able to fix this on my BDP-S350 by resetting to factory defaults and pulling the power cord on the system. It takes approximately 1 minute for the capacitor to completely drain the power. Once I replugged and powered up the system I was able to play a disc that minutes before had said "cannot operate this disc." Hope that helps.

You can select the Resetting option from the Menu of the Blu-ray Player. Please refer page # 53 of the Manual of the Blu-ray Player.

press and hold stop button returns player to factory reset which solved my problem.
