Dimplex heater fan seems to turn very slow

In-heater fans are usually driven by open-framed synchronous motors that gather dust and their sintered bearings dry out and because the motor isn't powerful the increased friction causes them to run slow.
The fan blades also tend to gather a layer of dust that isn't helpful in maintaining performance.

Performance is usually restored after removing the motor and removing accumulated dust, cleaning and washing the grime from the bearings with solvent and applying machine oil to the felt surrounding the bearings and a drop or two into the bearings.

I have a dimplex pebble effect wall fire that i haven't fitted yet i did turn it on to see it working but the back got really hot so i turned it off is this normal to get very hot as it would be in contact...

They doo get pretty hot be sure you have air flow pushing air from front and you might have to put some sheet metal along the back portion of the wall as a heat sheld.

Fan heater blower on dimplex cadogan CGN 20 not working properly0 optimyst electric stove

Take it out and see if the fan wil turn by hand. It may have somethng obstructing it. The clicking is the motor overload. It wil burn out if it continues to keep clicking.

I have got an electric fire Place that blows out hot air, well after about 5 mins it stops blowing out hot air and it blows out cold air, can any one help me fix it?

More than likely, the heater element is overheating and the overload switch is turning it off. It could just be a case that the heating element needs cleaning. As they do become clogged with dust and lint, because they take in cool air at floor level, heat it and send it back out. You didn't mention who the manufacturer of your electric fireplace is, but they all work just about the same way (badly, most of the time). Turn OFF the Master On/Off Switch, unplug the fireplace from the wall and leave unplugged for 12 to 15 minutes. Now, would be a good time to clean the interior, if you want to under take it. Plug the heater back in and turn the Master On/Off switch to the On position. Turn ON and set the heater control. If it returns to normal operation, the problem is solved. If the unit continues to have to be reset (if it's a Dimplex) turn the Master Switch Off, unplug the unit and contact Dimplex USA, Technical Service at 888-346-7539 for more information.

Hope this helps solve the problem.

It screams when fired up

It sounds like either the rod that holds the bulbs and turns to produce the flame effect may have gotten out of place or need cleaning and lubricating with light oil. If you're using the heater and fan, the fan motor and shaft may be causing the problem. In which case, they would need cleaning & lubricating too.

Hopefully, you still have your Owners Manual, because that will show and tell you how to access all these parts that are under the simulated firebox.

My Dimplex DFB 4047 won't get very hot

This is an on going problem with electric fireplace/stove type heaters of all types. Not just Dimplex.
They are not designed to run for long periods of time and the heat output is not much more than a blower dryer. In any event, they take in cool air, heat it and send it back out. Over time, the heating element becomes clogged with dust, lint and/or pet air. So, they have to work harder to produce a sufficient amount of heat. Cleaning the heating element with a vacuum that has a hose and brush attachment may help. The heating element and blower are under the stove. See your Owners Manual on how to access it. Be sure to unplug the stove before trying to service/clean it.

Dimplex Electric Heater Model Number DF 3003 fan motor not working. How do I access the fan motor to repair or replace it?

Dimplex has a Service Manual for your Heater. I recommend requesting the manual through their Literature Request website. I located the owner's manual and the troubleshooting guide via their website, but it appears you will need to request the Service Manual.

Hope this helps.
