Re: The tray doesn't spin

Most models allow you to turn the turntable off and on via the control panel. Check that setting in the display first.

If that's not it, then the motor had probably failed.

You can find handy exploded view part diagrams and order parts at (the 3 is correct).

Something looks wrong with the posted model number. Is that right??

Is the center arm on the floor of the microwave a replaceable part?

First of all thank you for your model number. To Answer you question: A - yes it can be replaced but will be hard to locate as this was discontinued. B - maybe if all the parts are there you may be able to glue it back together. C - If you control panel has a turntable off button you can switch it off, if not you can unplug the turntable motor located under the unit with two wires going to it. Just unplug, don't cut any wires. I hope this helps

Need new turntable

Good afternoon Jennifer.

There are numerous dealers online carrying parts. I'm not sure if you're referring to the round glass plate, or to the mechanism underneath it. The plate, drive coupling, turntable motor, and/or glass tray support , at least, can be found at . Depending on your timeline, the part numbers are there if you want to do comparison shopping.

Good Luck!

Turn table in microwave wont turn

Repairs are expensive. New microwaves are cheap. But you don't have to spend a dime on either. If your microwave turntable stopped spinning, here's an easy way to try and fix it. And all you need is some warm, soapy water and your own two hands. You don't have to be an appliance expert to troubleshoot a seemingly broken microwave turntable. You might find that all your little Zappy needs is a checkup and a good, thorough cleaning. If you follow these steps and find that your microwave still isn't turning, it probably means the motor has spun it's last spin. Then it's time to retire old Zappy. Unplug the microwave. Safety first, kids. Remove the glass tray and the circular turntable guide. Wash them both in warm, soapy water to get rid of anything stuck. Pay special attention to the rollers on your turntable guide, making sure they're able to spin freely. Clean the internal cavity. Make sure to check your microwave's center cavity to make sure it's free of movement-hindering (and gross) leftover food. Check that the drive bushing is working. Make sure that the drive bushing, the plastic mechanism in the bottom of the microwave's interior that the glass tray turns on, isn't worn out or split in two. If it is, you'll need to have it replaced. Put it back together. Put the turntable guide back into the circular groove. Place the glass tray turntable over the turntable guide and onto the drive bushing. Adjust until the drive bushing should fits perfectly into the grooves of the glass tray. Test it out. Zap a mug of water for a short bit to see if you fixed the problem. Do not run the microwave without anything in it.

Everything seems to be working except it won't heat anything it just suddenly stopped heating.

Did anything spill or blowup inside? Remove the glass tray and be sure all is clean and dry.
If something did blow up (food or liquid), find the small mica window on the inside, and carefully remove it, clean up, dry off in the cavity too, and replace it.
Try to use. This has fixed 3 different microwaves for me. Hope it helps you.

Microwave quit

Hi there,

Well first of all you can try to clean the turntable- Remove your glass turntable cooking tray from your microwave. Gently wash with warm soapy water to remove any debris. Next remove the turntable guide and clean it in the same manner, with warm soapy water. Pay particular attention to the turntable rollers. There could be spilled food particles caught in the rollers, hindering the rollers' movement. Also, gently cleanse the internal cavity of your microwave, paying special attention to the area below the turntable. With the internal cavity, turntable, and turntable guide completely clean and dry, return the parts to your microwave. First place the turntable guide on the bottom of the microwave. There should be a circular groove in the bottom of the microwave cavity keeping the turntable guide in place. Follow the guide with the turntable cooking tray. Carefully place the glass tray over the turntable guide and onto the drive bushing. The drive bushing should fit neatly into the grooves on the bottom of your glass cooking tray. It may take some adjusting before the tray will sit properly onto the drive bushing. If further you have the same problem then this could be a failing turntable motor...... Please post comments for further help or information.......

Good Luck!!

Turntable will not turn with glass turntable on it

Make sure the platter is correctly seated on the plastic drive. Now gently press down on the platter and see if it resists turning. If the platter turned easily, the plastic drive is spinning on the motor shaft and needs replaced. If the platter resists movement, the motor under the floor needs to be replaced. To replace either part visit the web site If you found any of these suggestions helpful, please rate my solution. D. Kenmore elite microwave/vent hood model 721.80834500 turntable

I bought a Kenmore Elite Microwave Hood Combination Model 721.80823500 at Sears. The installer did not bring the parts to connect the vent to the pipe on the ceiling and never came back. I cannot find the vent/exhaust connetor part to have it installed. No one knows. I appreciate information or installer. Thanks.
